I installed this on my pvs14. The first time I used it the iris stopped working. The outside ring just turns. The iris won't move. Like something is disconnected.Edit:I bought several of these for use on pvs14s, so I took one apart before returning. These work excellent now.The iris is actuated by a small screw in the unit. If you unscrew the front plate (can be done by pressing the front of the unit into wood and turning counter clockwise) you can access a small screw that fits into the adjustment ring. Unscrew it a little so it makes contact and the iris will work again.

This is awesome for your PVS-14 and will allow you to adjust the focus on the go while providing protection to the lens in the 14. It is however going to need an additional sacrificial lens . I bought both on Amazon and this thing rocks and threads on easily! The sacrificial lens needed will thread onto the front of this will protect this iris clone! Also, your lens cover with pinholes will not fit over this iris but that's ok because if you buy this and and cover lens, you basically replicate the original covers. Just remember to remove the battery on your unit when it's in storage.

Threads perfectly onto a NV device. MUCH more budget friendly than paying $250 or more. Combined with a sacrificial lens of course. Even paying for both items (a touch over $52, and you get two sacrificial lenses), it's FAR cheaper.

The unit works fine but the iris feels extremely fragile so one would think this would have a lens installed to protect the iris...
