I used this on hills (driving sideways across hill) without any issues. Not sure why some complain about about it being tippy. It was not bad to assemble....all you need to do is be able to follow directions!! Only issue I had with install was calibrating the lever but it was easy to fix. With the chute halfway open, it was supposed to be at "5" but instead showed 8.5 so I just carefully removed the sticker and relocated it so that it reads 5 when chute is halfway open. Was an easy fix. So far so good, would highly recommend. Very sturdy!

Awful instructions. Difficult assembly. If not for an independent video I found on YouTube I never would have put it together.Took four frustrating, painful hours. The regulator for the spreader is way out of whack. So, if my fertilizer called fir 3.5 I had to set it at 6. If you don’t shut the regulator off while the unit is stopped it pours product all over the lawn. (Killed a large section of grass). The drive shaft snapped in half during my first use. So I called Agrifab Customer service and ordered replacement parts and, of course, had to go through the reassembly nightmare all over again. In my opinion this is a poorly designed product. I am a handyman/ landscaper so i consider myself above average when it comes to such things. My advice is to find another product.

Poorly designed, shear pin on drive wheel needs to be bigger, it sheared on the first round. I drilled it out and replaced it with a 1/4-inch bolt. Bushing on drive axle is plastic and will fail. I could only put one 50lb bag of fertilizer in the spreader at a time and have it work properly.

After assembling and using the spreader the first time a part broke. When I called the Agri-Fab telephone number included on the instructions I was pleasantly surprised to speak with a real person rather than go down the touch tone abyss, as with most companies these days. The representative, Ms Mayra, was very courteous and helpful. She knew all the parts for my specific model and was able to pinpoint exactly what I needed in just a few minutes. I received the part the very next day and even followed up with me to make sure I had the installation instructions. I have a significant vision impairment that made tapping out a pin a hurdle. Not Agri-Fab not Mayra's fault but my own limitations. A few days after learning of my difficulty, Agri-Fab and Mayra sent me the entire subassembly ready to bolt on and go. My Agri-Fab broadcast spreader works like a champ, and I couldn't be more pleased with my Agri-Fab spreader or their outstanding customer service. How a company stands behind their product in the days, weeks, and months after the sale determines value. You won't make a mistake by choosing Agri-Fab.

The spreader does work but if you have a small yard it's fine but if you have any type of acreage which I have 6 acres I was fertilizing you have to take it easy on that piece of machinery. You have to stay right at 3 mph and go very slow over bumps because the rod could break. Customer service did send out a new rod and I had to put it together which was fine and then I was able to finish out my acreage. Would like it if it was a little more heavy duty

This is a good spreader and recommended for home owner use. It is easy to assemble and is good quality. It works well and spread radius is estimated at 8 feet. I used it for spring preemergent and will follow shortly by spring fertilizer.

was a bit difficult to put together but it's a very strong spreader.

Parts bag was open and missing washers and cotter pins, piece on axel keeping the large plastic spacer in place also missing, doesn't seem to be properly calibrated as it keeps shearing the cotter pin on the drive wheel after about1500 feet (happened twice)

Broke within the first 15min. Applied all of 2 bags. 2hrs to assemble. 1hr to dismantle, $40 to mail back. Save up your money and buy something good

Acheté pour épandre des matériaux de déglaçage et le matériel ne sort pas et reste empilé dans le bac . Couvert en vinyle manquant et sac de boulons ouvert à l'arrivé.
