I had a fence that fit my circular saw, but the lock screw was the wrong size. Rather than keep using a bolt, I got these. I wasn't sure there would be enough room for the big head on these, but it fits great. I also have a fabrication project going on with some 6mm threads and I might end up using a couple for that, so I was glad to have a pack of 4.
