I had no idea about what radon was since moving to the Midwest. Thankfully I came Across an article about a woman who got lung cancer from radon so I started searching for detectors and came across this one. It works great is definitely worth the money and will save you or your families’ life. Easy to read and understand the readings.

We were alerted to a high radon value for our home but did not have access to the exact test results to know the true number. Too high was all we knew.I really wanted to get a test number before we added a mitigation fan so I could tell how well the fan was working. This device gave us a short term number in less than 24 hours and yep... too high. After the mitigation fan was installed, we tested again with this device and got our new number (.6)Then a week later we received the test results from the company that installed our mitigation unit and they also reported we were at .6This device works and is super easy to use.Keep in mind that radon levels change from season to season and also may increase if its raining. If you had a radon test when you moved into your house and it was "ok", it very well could have stopped being "ok" as time goes by. If you're in a radon prone area, that 1st move-in radon test is just not enough and being able to monitor in real time if the number changes brings some piece of mind.

This product had easy directions to follow and provides us the reassurance we need knowing that our home has radon below appropriate EPA limits. Very clear display, small and attractive. Would highly recommend.

Works well, easy to read, and seems accurate. Leave it in a location for a week or more to get best accuracy.

I used to be a charcoal user, but it's too much work having to do it regularly. This makes life much simpler. Just turn it on and go. Should have bought it a long time ago, but I was too cheap. What a regret

Has been working since day 1, and it’s been a few months now. Seem reliable, and a decent price.

As reported by at least one other person, this is a gray market item that AirThings only sells via Home Depot — the manufacturer’s packaging includes this printed notice: “This product is only available at The Home Depot…Purchases made from any other seller are not authorized and void the warranty.â€

I give it 5 stars. It’s a convenient way to measure without having to send in anything to a laboratory. It is not a meter you can walk from room to room and get instant results! The device measures periodically and displays long term as well as short term results.By leaving it in a room for a few days you can get a good idea what your radon levels are.Opening doors and windows or having fans on or off makes a big difference therefore patience is required. You can always set the device back to zero and start over. All in all I would recommend it. It might give you some peace of mind or at least an idea if you should call a professional for further assistance.

Seems to be tracking levels well .Level reading went way down when the furnace was working steady in the 20 below weather.Reading came back up when weather warmed up and furnace wasnt drawing fresh air in .Just wish there was a way to calibrate this device so I know for certain its working accurately.Thinking of hiring a professional air quality testing company to compare readings.

Left in my basement for 6 days and got an off the charts reading of 126/pci/l long term. See picture.Ordered $700 of mitigation equipment based on this reading,Became sceptical of the readings as time went on. Placed the device in a car that was parked outdoors and got a 43.7 pci/l reading after 2 days. Which is virtual impossible.
