  • EASY TO SET: Our Propane monitor can set the propane alarm value: 2%LEL-20%LEL (default value is 5%LEL). When the detected propane value is greater than the value you set, the buzzer will alarm to remind you to take measures to reduce the propane concentration in the RV as soon as possible. There is also a mute function after the alarm
  • 85dB LOUD ALARM: The RV propane gas detector can give you rapid Di-Di-Di sound when gas-leaking happens, volume more than 85dB loud enough to be heard up to 100ft, reduce the risk of explosion, protect the life and property safety of you and your family
  • UL LISTED PROPANE SENSOR: Our propane alarm are more sensitive and reliable with Japanese Figaro sensors, certified by Listing Standard ANSI /UL1484, can more accurately detect the propane gas in the air. The service life is 5 years. After 5 years, it will be sent out to remind you that the product is expired to escort your safety
  • POWER SUPPLY AND CURRENT DRAW: 12 VDC 75mA @ 12 VDC, easy to install, can directly replace your propane alarm which is about to expire. Warm reminder: for propane gas detection, install our propane detector from 4 to 20 inches off the floor

I wanted a LP detector with a digital display to see changes in gas concentration before an alarm occurs. I first bought the Funomo model because it was the only one on Amazon that came in black, surface mount, with an always-on display. It has a fixed alarm setpoint of 5.0% LEL which is fine and conservative. Got in two detectors and found both are slow to drift down to 0.0% LEL on power up, with one hanging at 0.5% LEL and not going to 0.0% LEL. Also noted the lowest LP sensitivity for both units is 0.5% LEL as it goes down from that value and directly to 0.0% LEL. One of the two units never read less than 0.5% LEL and was quickly replaced by the seller for free, so great customer support!! Tested using a butane lighter and worked great, but with a slow response. Once its 5.0% LEL is exceeded, the display reads "HI" and now cannot see a quantitative value that may be greater than 5.0% LEL. It's nice that the Funomo will mount without having to take apart its case to engage its mounting screws. But you have to either solder/shrink or use crimp connectors to make good power wire connections. Then the Briidea brand appeared on Amazon and offered a user adjustable LP concentration alarm setpoint ranging from 2% to 20% LEL in steps of 1% LEL. Bought two of these and immediately adjusted their alarm setpoint to 20% LEL to allow me more of a gas concentration range to monitor while the 20% LEL value is still x5 below LP concentrations of concern. Again tested using a butane lighter and found both are very fast in their response, much faster than the Funomo model. But one of the Briidea units slowed dramatically about 14-15% LEL no matter how much butane I exposed it. The other unit kept responding quickly up to its 20% LEL and then read "HI" and alarmed; perfect. Contacted the seller about the malfunctioning unit and they promptly replaced it for free; outstanding customer support!! Both Briidea units will read below 0.5% LEL and all the way to 0.0% LEL in units of 0.1% LEL, nice sensitivity indeed. I'll lower the LP alarm value to 10% LEL once I've completed my performance/confidence testing with the Briidea model. It uses a less friendly mounting method, requiring its front cover to be unsnapped from its body. Turns out that's easy and revealed another very nice detector design feature. Power wire connections to its PCB are via a mounted terminal block. I just loosened the block's two screws, removed the OEM power wires, installed my camper's power wires, marked and drilled mounting holes on my camper's wall, mounted this detector, then snapped back on its front cover.Of course only time will tell how reliable and repeatable the Funomo & Briidea LP detectors will be. But my camper came with an OEM mounted MTI Industries 70-742 CO/LP alarm that's totally reliable, which I now use as an always-on LP backup. Why the Briidea when I have the MTI; a digital display of real time LP concentrations BEFORE an alarm level is reached! I also installed a Kiddie KN-COPP-B-LPM CO detector offering a digital display for similar reasons; monitoring CO concentrations BEFORE an alarm level is reached!

Previous combo alarm was falsing frequently at 4 years old, usually at 2AM. LP alarms are usually only good for 5 years. CO are good for 10, so this makes better sense. This particular alarm is difficult to get apart to mount. It's also too small to cover the hole from the original alarm. Its display was not mounted mounted properly on the board such that the front decal would not lay flat. I ended up zip-tying the alarm to the last replacement's cover plate. I think this will work nicely. Time will tell.

Not as described on website. It was advertised as being DC which it is not. It was also not mentioned that it was for use in RVs not home use.

I like the digital numbers. Then just the green light. Works well

I have to qualify my statement that it was easy to install. The instructions tell you to separate the top case from the bottom case, but it does not tell you how to do that. Had to figure that out without breaking. It snaps together at the corners. Once it's apart, it's easy to install and hookup. It was also delivered on time.
