A: The detector is designed to detect the presence of combustible gas leaks. However, it does not identify the specific type of gas. It alerts you to the presence of a leak, allowing you to take appropriate safety measures.
Q: Can it detect multiple gas types?
A: Yes, the detector can detect methane, natural gas, propane, liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline and more.
Q: What is the difference between a gas monitor and a gas leak detector?
A: Gas monitors are used for continuous gas leak monitoring to monitor the air state in a large space, but they are unable to pinpoint the exact leak point. The gas leak detector is used to locate the source of the gas leak.
Q: What is the distance it can detect a gas leak?
A: Generally 1-5cm, depending on the severity and concentration of the gas leak.

Clear LCD Screen Display
When the detector detects combustible gas, the number of indicator lights will increase with the gas concentration, and the screen turns red. As the gas concentration increases, the beeps will also become faster.
Turn on/Turn off
Short press the power button to turn on the detector. Long press power off button to tum off the detector. Detector will automatically shut down after 5 minutes without operation.
Sensitivity Button ”S”
High-Sensitivity mode,the light turns on(50 to 500 ppm).
Low-Sensitivity mode, the light off(500 to 1,000 ppm).
How to Charge
After connected with a USB-C cable, the indicator lights on the side are red means it is charging and green means it is full charger. Charging takes 2 hours.

For the past few days I've notice a slight smell of natural gas in a spot of my basement so I bought this to detect where the leak was coming from, I first did a gas test with a lighter on hand, pretty much the sniffer instantly went red with rapid beeping which is a good sign it works, the second thing I did was to find the leak in my basement which took me a bit to find it until I moved the sensor near to a certain spot of the gas pipes then it did some slow beeps and the display showed it was a mild leak, so now I know where it is I can finally have it fixed, definitely have these to check for gas leaks.

Detected leak in areas where no odor was present. Worked where a more expensive, plug in unit incorrectly indicated that no gas was present. (Our gas company confirmed the leak and ended up replacing our entire gas line.) However, one issue to consider is whether a rechargeable device is preferable to traditional battery. If you might leave this in a drawer for a few years, expecting to use it only in event of a suspected emergency, you will get more immediate use by slipping in a fresh battery than by connecting the recharging cable.

This review is for Natural Gas Leak Detector - Sensitive Gas Leak Detector with Audible & Visual Alarm..., $16.99I tested this on propane and natural gas (mostly methane). It detects both and gives a good audible and visual signal that it has detected the gas. However, at a level that I can smell gas, it does not register any, so my nose is more sensitive. Where this device is better is that it's easier to locate the source of the leak because the sensor is quite small and easy to move around in confined spaces.When you smell gas, you can use this device to locate the source by running the sensor along the pipes, connectors and hoses. But don't move it too quickly because it takes a second or two to register the gas.I wish I'd had this device when the propane was leaking from my barbecue. This tool is much more convenient than covering everything in a soapy solution and looking for bubbles!

This thing works great and a must have around the house. Tested a new CO/Propane detector after I installed in our RV. Also, verified no leakage in our gas stove at home. Excellent product for the price.

This is really good safety tool to have. It is quick and easy to detect all sorts of gas leak including natural gas and LPG. So I am able to use it to ensure my grill propane tank secured correctly.It is really peace of mind to know there are no gas leaks. Purchased gas leak detector to test for a leak that I would smell when I would open my side door where gas service comes up from my landscape to my home so I ordered a gas leak detector with great reviews it came the following day and lit up like a Christmas lightLeak was below landscape surface had a plumber come and got the repair done awesome purchase I recommend it
