Your cart is empty.Dipsticks feature a positive lock to keep dipstick in place and seal tight to prevent fluid leaks while sealing out moisture and debris. Steel case fill tubes have a gold finish, include a welded-on mounting tab and are fitted with a rubber grommet type seal which reduces the risk of leaks common with traditional o-ring seals. Locking dipstick tubes are required on 10. 99 and faster drag cars.

I replaced the dipstick tube in my 70 Chevelle SS 454 with this one. The thing I like about this one is the robust seal, versus many which only have a small o-ring. It fit like a glove, zero issues, and bolted right up using one of the bell housing bolts. Thankfully I had the passenger side inner fender removed from the car which made installing this a lot easier. Anyhow, if you're looking for a good dipstick tube with a good deal and a lock, this is a good option.

This is a great TH400 fit. Comes with a nice sealing tube instead of the factory o-ring seal. Some racing organizations require a locking trans dipstick.

Overall its a nice locking dipstick. It will not...WILL NOT....fit an LS / 4l80 combo. You can see in the picture how I cut the bracket off and welded it back on in another position to utilize one of the bolts to the head. I'm overall happy with it though.

I ordered the Chevy TH350 one for my 350/TH350 71 Camaro and this one fit absolutely perfect. I could not get 2 other chrome ones to fit properly ,clamp to transmission properly, or seal properly but this one was amazing. It cleared the AC box and isn't too high. Clears the transmission and bolts right to the 1 o clock trans cover bolt. I love the newer hat seal. I put some silicone grease on it and it slipped right in the trans with the correct resistance. I could not get the o ring types to seal correctly. i tried 2 different o rings and they were either too tight or too loose. I don't normally rave about this stuff but after hours of fighting with2 other ones this dropped right in . I would make sure the one you pick is correct for your app. They are different. Also this has a goldish finish . It's a dull light gold .Not too shiny or bright. I think it fits right in with my engine patina.Yes, It is a little expensive but after I got it and it dropped right in ,I guess it was worth it.

While the dipstick functions well as a dipstick, the mount did not match up to a bellhousing bolt/stud like it should have. I had to cut the mount off the dipstick and weld it back on in a different spot so it would fit correctly. It's also on the short side and way back in the engine bay. It's just high enough to pop up behind the head of the engine, but just barely. The mount on this needs to definitely be fixed and it wouldn't hurt to be several inches longer so its easier to access.

A while ago I purchased a similar one of these, but for a TH400. Fit and sealed perfect. I am assuming the fit for this will be the same.
