Works like a charm. Took a while to figure out the old code. But once we have the correct code in, the remote worked perfectly! Saved me lotof money, instead of replacing fan and labor,I have got the replacement remote. Buttons are easy to click and use. The remote fits the holder and speed of remote is perfect.

My old Hampton bay remote stopped working. It was easy to confirm the remote model numbers on the back as instructed, and the replacement worked right out of the box. Thanks. Will order more for other fans in the house.

I went to a lot of brick n mortar as well as online websites, but no one could match up for my 25 year old fan. Then I tried the model on Amz and Viola! it was a match (and brand new). I hav no complaints, just praises. It's so good to get back to being able to read the buttons again too. It was very easy to replace my old one. Didn't have to change the sync code at all (I never changed the old code). Only the best experience for me.UPDATE: the product picture on my original order history page shows a dif screen view on the model. Mine has an old-school solid screen, the newer (?) screen that describes it shows a floating radar like screen ...if they now sell it with the new screen, I can't vouch for a newer model.

Perfect replacement for the original CHQ7096T. Did not come with directions, so I just kept messing with it. I have two fans. It worked for one, but not the other. I had to cycle through the different codes for the DIP under one of the batteries in order for it to work. The code from the original controller did not work on this fan, but using the code from the other fan and original controller did work for that fan. Eventually I found the right code for the fan that needed a new controller. Works better than the original unit. Light, fan speed, fan direction, dimmer, etc all worked. One star deducted for no directions being included.

This is my second replacement. They work as well as the original. My Fan is now some 22 years old hopefully it will continue to outlive the remotes!

The old remote for our fan/light in our bedroom stopped working months ago and as our model is no longer in stock and we wouldn't be able to get a replacement, we thought we would have to replace the whole unit. But low and behold we found this model remote on Amazon and we now have a fully functioning light and fan!
