HOW TO USE
- This is the remote control for the ceiling fan. They should match the switches on the transmitter inside the ceiling fan.
- Just remember to set the 4 dip switches inside the battery compartment(they are kinda hidden behind the slot for the battery itself).
- Look inside the old remote with the battery cover off, there is a series of "DIP" switches(4) .
- Slide the switches in the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote. Replace the battery in the new remote and things should work.
- There are 16 different frequencies for the Harbor Breeze fans, so you would have to play with the combinations. Here are the frequency list:(0 is down and 1 is up) 0000, 0001, 0010, 0100, 0110, 0101, 0011, 0111, 1111, 1110, 1101, 1011, 1001, 1010, 1100, 1000
Set different PIN code if control multiple ceiling fans
NOTE: If you control multiple ceiling fans in the house, please check the PIN code settings are different between these, or it may let transmitter next door or your neibourhood's remote activates this ceiling fan in your other rooms. This may cause the fan turning on strangely while you are not at home.

My old remote stopped working. I was able to use Google camera to find the model# then went to Amazon and now I have a perfectly working fan remote! Follow the instructions to connect it to the fan and it’ll work!!

The remote is amazing. I bought it because my dog had chewed on my original one and the remote would no longer work. The one I had was able to dimm my lights, turn them off, and change the speed of my fan, just like the old one this one changed the speed of my fan and turned off my lights but it doesn't dim. I've tried everything to get it to dim but it won't. other than it not being able to dim its amazing it was super easy to set up all I had to do was look at the back of my old one and set the switches on the new one to match the old one.

After reading the reviews I was worried I’d have to hunt down the dip switch numbers for my fan. But I put in the battery & crossed my fingers & it worked! I have the home decorator Brette II fan.

Didn’t work out of the box: the indicator light wouldn’t come on with a new battery (tried several too) and it didn’t control the fan.
