Anti-static Wrist Strap:
- The anti-static bracelet uses a 1 megohm resistor and a wire to introduce static electricity into the earth through the anti-static grounding wire, and discharge the static electricity to the earth through the anti-static bracelet.
- The purpose is to avoid the impact of instantaneous high current on the component and avoid damage to the device.

Please Note:

Tested each wire, these have no connectivity. All 4 wires carry no current - Because there is a Capacitor in the snap.- you see in pic the LED works. Then add the wire in and nothing.- In 1st pic, meter on Connectivity Tone = nothing.This is how it works, to basically not kill you if current flows towards you.I didn't know this actually till someone mentioned it in comments.I jumped and got angry too quickly.

Used for safely handling Electrro Static Discharge (ESD) sensitive electronics. This ESD strap can protect sensitive electronics such as when troubleshooting, assembling or installing PC components like CPU or RAM. Highly recommend as it is comfortable, great length, effective and has an alligator clip as well as a ground insertion point.

To test these use must use a setting higher than 1 megaohm on your meter as they have a 1 megaohm resistor in series to prevent electrocution. Aside from the nice color options, these are pretty standard static wrist straps. Nothing particularly special to write about. They do exactly what they're supposed to. And if you've ever worn a wrist strap before, then you know all you need to know about these. The only thing that stands out is the colors, which I did appreciate. It was nice to get some new options from the same old standard colors we're used to.Perfectly adequate product. Recommend.

Packaging was good and complete. However, colors of the display are dull even with vivid setting, and baciklghting is dim, requiring a brighter setting. Consequently the battery discharges faster.

Tested all 4 straps, with my a Fluke meter, no reading either ends of the wire. It's like the coil wire is made of pure plastic. I'm electrician for 29+ years. These are no good. Sent these back.
