OK... I still haven't figured out if somehow I am prone to magnifying the power of static shocks or if there is some electric problem with my car. The true is, I alway get ridiculously strong popping shocks after stepping out of the car. I even developed the habit of approaching and touching things (like doorknobs) and people very slowly and carefully after stepping out of the car. I felt like people watching me probably were probably thinking I had some obsessive compulsive disorder or was obsessed with germs or something.This little device works! It's about the size of a key and just looks like a discrete cute keychain. When I step out of the car I simply touch the car with it and see a little tiny blue sparkle inside it. Hay! I'm safe and confident I can touch anything normally!!!It only works when you step outside the car and have your feet on the ground so I still have to be careful stepping out of the car. If in the process of stepping out I happen to touch the car with my arm or leg, yeah, I still get the darn shocks...

When wiping an area with charge, the lamp does illuminate. Can still get a jolt if the charge is high enough. Depends on your application for disapation.

I am extremely prone to static shock in the winter months. I've never experienced a shock when using this! My only problem is that I don't always remember to use it, then...Zap!

Its useless..... please don't waste your money on it. You still get static charges shocks !!!Wasted my money in it.

I had this same one before, but from a different seller.. It worked great for a few years. This one works well sometimes. But sometimes I still feel a shock when I get out of my car when I touch it on the door. I will probably get a different one at some point.

after a day the static shock wasnt being absorbed good enough to ease the shock. I started feeling the shock almost like as if i wasnt using it at all. it still makes the cool little light but thats about it. if im goin to go out of my way to discharge my shock and still feel it.. what do i need this for?

For 7 bucks, this really works. I was constantly getting zapped getting out of my chair and walking to my 3D Printer. It was so bad, it once fried my micro-SD card that I was inserting in the 3D printer. Now, I get up and walk over to the printer and pick up this keychain, touch it to metal and discharge my static with no shock. If the lights are off, you can see the "zap" inside the device. You will always have residual static but this removes the charges that zap you (and other items you touch).

I get shocked every time I go in and out of the office door, usually resulting in me swearing loudly .. not good .... anyway I purchased this and didnt expect much but it has resolved 99% of the problem... I touch it on the metal door frame and electronic button pad before opening the door and it discharges the static. I usually see it flash yellow inside. Only once (today as it happens) did I still get a shock, but the end of the discharger flashed bright white as well as the bub inside flashing yellow, so I must have been super-super charged up. that was the first time in a month its not worked, though the shock probably wasnt as bad as it might have been. I used to have to go around quickly touching the door frame in various places to try and minimise the shock, think folk here think I have OCD! Im the only person at work this happens to and its really annoying so Im very relieved to have found this device. No more expletives either!

Ich war zugegebenermaßen skeptisch, ob das Produkt hält was es verspricht.Da ich berufsbedingt, regelmäßigen KundInnen-Kontakt habe und dabei häufig Hände schüttle, habe ich mir an manchen Tagen über 10 unangenehme elektrische Schläge eingehandelt. Nicht nur, dass es für mich unangenehm war. Auch meine Kunden, bekamen ja den Schlag ab. Da im Büro ein Kunststoff-Boden vorhanden ist, hab ich mich offensichtlich elektrostatisch aufgeladen. Der Schlüsselring ist gut verarbeitet, hängt seitdem am Schlüsselbund und wird jedes Mal, bevor ich einen metallischen Türgriff berühre, kurz mit der vorderen Seite dran gehalten. Ist man wirklich "aufgeladen", sieht man im blauen, transparenten Bereich einen Funken, der wiederum durch ein elektronisches Bauteil im Inneren aufgefangen wird. Seit einigen Wochen habe ich nicht nur keine schmerzhaften Funkenschläge mehr beim Händeschütteln - nein - ich freue mich sogar, auf die mitunter starke Funkenbildung und bin jedes Mal aufs Neue erstaunt, wie stark manchen Schläge gewesen wären, dir mir nun erspart bleiben. Hab direkt einer Kollegin von mir und mir selbst jeweils noch einen Anhänger bestellt, da das ganze so gut funktioniert. Voraussetzung dafür, dass es funktioniert, ist es selbständig den Ableiter an einen metallischen Gegenstand zu halten und ihn hinter dem blauen Bereich zu halten.
