This tool allows me to measure bores accurately. I could not do this with a caliper. Well finished and easy to use.

I use the gage set to check the bore on rifles that I might be interested in purchasing. They work great for taking the reading at the muzzle. I then just transfer the measurement to my digital calipers. Quick and easy to do at the gun shows. I'm sure there are more accurate instruments available, but for what I need, this set is great!

If you need to measure holes for a hobby, these gauges may be acceptable. However, they are not quality tools. My suggestion would be to save your money and get a set from Starrett, Mitutoyo, etc.

very poor quality, Heads are not round. Many flat spots. There is no way to get accurate reading with these.
