I broke my stock one attempting to replace the burned out bulbs. Ordered this one based off of the OEM part number and it's just slightly different. The picture shows the fully assembled replacement unit on the left, vs just the face plate on the right. They are the exact same size the height difference in the picture makes them look different sizes when they are not.I pulled this apart to swap incandescent bulbs to LED bulbs and was surprised this already had LED bulbs in it.This was a direct plug and play swap into my 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD.

Delivery and installation went well but it did not operate properly in my truck. I could go between 4H and 4L relatively easily. I had a tough time getting into 2wd, even with changing between drive and neutral. I wouldn't dare drive anyplace that I needed to get in and out of 4wd for fear of being stranded. Dorman worked better.

Works fine but the led lights to indicate mode are not as bright and easy to see as original equipment.

The wiring harness shroud wasn't quite right. Did a little razor blade carving and it fit fine. The key here is it solved my problem! No more service 4WD light in my 2001 Chevy 2500HD. If you're changing this yourself whittling a little plastic off the back for the connector to fit isn't going to make much difference.
