Please note, the Armor S2000 is designed specifically for use on unsealed poured concrete only.

How To Apply

Preparation

Protect all people, property, and plants in case splash and wind drift could occur. Do not apply to any surface that is dirty, frozen, or heavily saturated or flooded with water. Surface must be clean and free of all debris, dry, and absorbent. Mist water in a small area to test the surface for absorbency. Any surface to be treated should uniformly wet out. If the surface to be treated does not wet out uniformly, it is then recommended to prepare the surface mechanically to remove any remaining surface contaminants.

Application

New (Uncured) Concrete: It is not traditionally recommended to apply Armor S2000 to concrete earlier than 7 days. If this application is necessary, ensure the removal of all soft cut saw debris prior to application. Apply after final troweling at a rate of 300-400 sq. ft. per gallon using an commercial grade pump sprayer with a 0.3-0.5 gal./min. cone tip, lint free mop, or soft bristle push broom. Ensure floor saturation, removing any puddle areas with a soft bristle push broom or mop. Apply more Armor S2000 to areas that appear to be more porous and are absorbing the material more. If excess Armor S2000 is allowed to dry on the concrete surface, a white residue may form and can only be removed by mechanical means such as sanding or grinding process.

Existing Concrete: Apply at a rate of 200-300 sq. ft. per gallon using an commercial grade pump sprayer with a 0.3-0.5 gal./min. cone tip. Ensure floor saturation, removing any puddle areas with a soft bristle push broom. Apply more Armor S2000 to areas that appear to be more porous and are absorbing the material more. Rework any excess material with a soft bristle broom. If excess Armor S2000 is allowed to dry on the concrete surface, a white residue may form and can only be removed by mechanical means such as sanding or grinding process.

Polished Concrete: After completing the 400 grit stage of polishing, apply a uniform coat of Armor S2000 at a rate of 200-300 sq. ft. per gallon using an commercial grade pump sprayer with a 0.3-0.5 gal./min. cone tip, lint free mop, or soft bristle push broom, ensuring floor saturation. Do not allow to puddle. If excess Armor S2000 is allowed to dry on the concrete surface, a white residue may form and can only be removed by mechanical means such as sanding or grinding process. Follow through with additional polishing steps until desired appearance is achieved. Additional applications of Armor S2000 can be added at any stage before the final polishing phase is done if necessary at a rate of 200-300 sq. ft. per gallon. Remove any excess residue with polishing diamonds or polishing pads. Flushing with water is not necessary. Note: For softer concrete an initial application of Armor S2000 can be applied after the 80 grit stage prior to the standard polishing steps to achieve a harder surface.

Clean-Up

Use warm water and soap. Dispose of containers in accordance with local and federal regulations.

Product Removal

Once the Calcium Silicate Structure (CSH) has hardened within the pores it can not be removed unless the concrete itself is removed.

Coverage

Porous Surfaces: up to 200 FT2 in one coat.

Smooth Surfaces (once properly prepped): up to 400 FT2 in one coat.

Coverage will vary depending on porosity, surface condition, application method, and the amount of material applied by the applicator. The above coverage rates are estimates and will vary.

This is my second time using the product. In both cases the before and after are the same story. Before we had signs of efflorescence and concrete shedding from basement walls. The product is easy to apply with a spray and goes on evenly. After it dried the shedding was gone. Three years later and no occurrence of efflorescene and no more shedding. Just applied it at another location and expecting the same results there,

Seals deeply and strengthens as well as protects your concrete. This product is great for garage floors because it seals them permanently against oil, salt, and other concrete damaging agents. It applies easily with a sprayer after mixing with hot water. This is NOT a cosmetic surface sealing agent, it penetrates up to 4" deep binding to any calcium and silicates to reduce water absorption up to 98%, giving high resistance to efflorescence, yielding a 45% increase in compressive strength, a 45 % increase in surface hardness, and finally, a >200% increase in wear resistance!We sealed our 1350 sq foot concrete slab barn floor with 1 gallon of Foundation Armor S2000 mixed with 3 gallons of hot water, using a garden sprayer and a long handled brush to spread any puddled or over-sprayed areas.

Easy application with foam paint brush roller. It does leave a slight wet look as shown in the photo. This does not bother me but may not be desirable to others. I plan to use their sealant next.

I thought I was getting a dilutable product that would make 4 gallons. What I recived was one gallon undilutable which was not enough to do my project. I have foung another product that will work. They also have the same picture indicating 4 gallons on Home Depot's page so I don't think this is a complete accident.

This product solved our problem of paint repeatedly peeling off our concrete floor in our basement. The directions were easy to follow and applying it with a spray bottle worked great. When we repainted the problem areas, the paint stayed on and now our floor looks great.

I thought I was ordering a concentrate but found this bottle was ready to use. It did not appear to seal a concrete stairwell pan as I observed the results during a heavy rain.

Went on very easy with a paint roller. After letting it sit for two days I see no difference but now I have a white powdery floor.

I spoke with tech support before ordered this and explained our dusting problem (it was excessive). He explained how to prep the surface properly and then apply to liquid. It bubbled upon contact, and the dust was noticeably less after 1 day (70% improvement). Our concrete had cured exceptionally poorly, and he suggested we might need a second treatment. The difference was so noticeable on the first treatment, that we did a second floor prep and will do second treatment. During the second floor prep, the floor was significantly less absorbent to water. Please note, this does not correct any surface imperfections from poor application of concrete. It does definitely harden the surface.
