This basic lens heater works ok and can heat itself up to between 35°F and 40°F higher than the ambient temperature when its on its highest setting. I haven't been able to test it in cold weather yet to see how warm a lens will actually get but that 35-40 degree rise is what happens at room temperature.There's nothing fancy about this heater and it's a little stiff and un-conforming compared to my much nicer Neewer lens heater which uses a softer material and which easily conforms into a circle around your lens, and it can get an additional 10° warmer.
