Great product. Fits perfectly. Has temp control as a separate lead. Nice to be able to connect to a more advanced dew system.

I finally got some cold weather to test this out and it works with no issues. The band wrapped around my lenses with no issues and kept the glass from fogging up when going from inside to outside.

This basic lens heater works ok and can heat itself up to between 20°F and 25°F higher than the ambient temperature when its on its highest setting. I haven't been able to test it in cold weather yet to see how warm a lens will actually get but that 20-25 degree rise is what happens at room temperature. The 20-25 degree increase in temperature is lower than the 35°-40° increase seen on Astromania's shorter 25cm long heater and considerably lower than the 50° increase seen on my Neewer lens warmer. There's nothing fancy about this heater and it's a little stiff and un-conforming compared to my much nicer Neewer lens heater which uses a softer material and which easily conforms into a circle around your lens.

Comes with no instructions, pretty obvious how to use but I could surely benefit from some tips and do’s and don’ts. The heating pad is flexible enough to form around the lens barrel, and the Velcro is strong. Not sure how secure it will stay in place, though, just by the stretch of the material. The USB cable has a good length, can carry the power source in a pocket and keep it warm. The control wheel works, no play in its axle.I still have to put this through the paces in real cold weather. Works great in high humidity conditions, when the lens is prone to fogging. But it is an art to match the heating level to the conditions: I doubt there is any chance to overheat the lens, but the battery will drain pretty quickly if this is always set to the max temperature. And what setting is high enough, it’s all try and err, and never repeatable.

This USB-powered dew heater is really good for keeping my telescope's front element or camera lens free from dew. Its Velcro makes it easy to attach to both my refractor telescope and camera lens. I've been using it during my astrophotography sessions and it effectively prevents dew buildup. The USB power option is convenient, allowing me to connect it to various power sources. Overall, it's a reliable and practical addition to my astronomy and photography gear.
