Bought this to aerate a 4 ft X 8 ft compost setup I have going. I use it about once a week and it only takes a few minutes. Keeps it cooking nicely. I would have 2 yard bags of grass clippings per week and about 75 yard bags of leaves in the fall. Now all I do is mulch everything with the mower collection bag on and throw it in the compost.

I used this for loosening heavy clay soil before planting dahlia bulbs. It did a great job until the clay got really thick, and then I had to work more slowly and use different angles. It wasn’t perfect, but the job would have been much more labor intensive with just a shovel. This tool will also make quick work of mixing and loosening soil in grow bags between seasons!

I bought these to make holes for new pathway lights along my walkway. I have very rocky soil, so trying to insert spikes into the ground is a pain. The auger was easy to attach to my drill and made the perfect sized holes with minimal effort. They seem like they're made of durable metal and will last. I wish I had known about these years ago.

These need more than a battery operated drill. The quality is good but it really depends on the drill driving the auger.

When I opened up the package it came with two different size auger bits, some plant markers and a pen to write on them. The plant markers and the pen were definitely a surprise! I used the big auger to mix up my own soil mix in half whiskey barrels and it really made quick work of the job. I usually mix everything by hand and all the bending over and stress on my hands makes me very tired the next day. I was able to use this tool to easily mix the soil much quicker than I ever could before. The only negative thing I would say, and I’m not sure if it’s my drill or not, is that after I used it a little bit it would loosen up on the drill itself and I have to re-tighten it . All in all a very happy with the purchase
