I like this much better then the older one my mother in law had. This one is faster & easier. It drills down into the dirt. Hers just scooped out the dirt in a clump & then you had to break the dirt up.

This auger bit is easy to use. Just put it in your drill and drill. You do have to be careful to have it vertical and to go easy when or if you hit a rock, not to force it.

I bought this auger to drill holes in a rocky pasture so I could install t-posts to drive in deep. It worked great! I was skeptical because of the soil conditions, but it burrowed through without a problem.Next month I will use it to plant forty tulip bulbs.

Better than digging by hand for sure but has its limitations. There is a learning curve to using it. First position your drill against your left hip so when it binds (and it will) you don’t break your wrist. This will go through pretty heavy soil as long as you move it up and down instead of just drilling straight in. The biggest issue is sometimes, no matter how careful you are, it will suddenly dig in and bind. Because the shaft is only 3/8†and 32†long, the first time you bind it’s going to bend a little. Once it’s bent even the slightest there will be a wobble that makes it hard to control. The wobble also causes the drill chuck to loosen. Overall it did okay as a stop gap until my power planter arrived but I would recommend buying one with a shorter shaft and dealing with the ensuing backache.

It is easier to manage then a large auger My need is important, but small. I have been unable to handle the work I need completed, because of shoulder and leg injuries. This has given me that independence to do some work on my land I have been scratching my head about how I can do it. Thank you

This is a two piece auger. The bottom piece is solid and works perfectly. Unfortunately, they're incredibly flimsy when you combine them.

I purchased to be able to make holes for picket fencing in my yard. Worked well and perfect size!

Great for burying stick fertilizer. I needed a heavy duty drill for packed soil and this drilled the holes quick and easy.

Ya, I know, I could by a stand like normal people would. But this is portable and a quick cheap solution when I want shade. Plus the stand is heavy. I've used my friend's auger bit, one time on the beach, and the umbrella stayed upright the whole weekend. So I'd consider bringing it along the next time I spend time at the beach or camping.

The Garden Auger is fine, but the issue is you need a very strong cordless drill. If the ground is at all hard, the battery on the cordless drill can drain very quickly when trying to push through....
