Have to be careful in order to not get it lodged in the ground which will cause the drill to twist strongly. But I used the hammer drill setting on my cordless and took it slowly and it worked great. Planted 100 daffodil bulbs in about 90 minutes.

Thes augers work very well, even in hard clay and fill dirt.I needed a way to put a 2 1/4 in gutter drain extension under the sidewalk, and this was an easy effective solution.It dug through without any problems at all, and it did not have any issue removing the rocks from the fill dirt at all.

After digging at least 10 bulbs by hand, this was a ‘life saver.’ Worked great even in tough soil.

It definitely helps. I still had to use my shovel a little bit, but it definitely loosened the dirt up and made digging holes for all the new landscaping easier.This is my first I’m using this. I’m really not a great person to ask if it’s better than any others. It didn’t completely dig the hole, but that could also be my soil. There are some rocks in it, but it loosened up the dirt so it was easier for me To dig the holes.The picture showed it making perfect holes that you could put your plants right in, but it didn’t do that for me
