This is good fly line. You will need to tie a nail knot to attach your backing to the back end of the fly line. A good caster will do fine with this line if not casting into head winds or using big flies in which case a size heavier may be needed. It would be nice to have loops at both ends, slightly inconvenient; but the price is great for such a good line.

3wt line still supple, no cracks, floats fine after 2 years of use. I fish small streams and I have 3-4 reels with different 3wt lines that I rotate depending on the rod. This is one of my best/go-to lines and has gotten about 40-50 full days' use (6-8 hrs/day), and thousands of casts over the last 2 years. I do clean and condition all of my fly lines after each use. Also I did cut-off the original loop and tied a new perfection loop b/c the original loop being made of the core became hard to open when wet. Casts great with all of my 7' 3wt rods (I have 3) and 7.5' 3wt rods (I have 5). Approx. 65% nymphing, 35% dry. I have much more expensive Rio and SA lines but I'm convinced that for my purposes, I'd rather buy a new Adventik line every couple of years for

Line arrived packaged well, be careful spooling however, it does not come on a spool so there's a chance of getting into a nasty knot if you don't unravel carefully. The line fishes well, doesn't seem to hold a fly dressing as long as some of my more expensive lines, but for the average user, it's a good quality and affordable line in a world where fly lines can get VERY expensive! Definitely worth the money.

Go ahead and drop $100 on some Rio Premiere fly line if you want. I have some super expensive line on one of my rods, and it's fantastic. But me? I'll buy this for literally 1/10th of the cost! I was expecting the crappy, "plasticy" line that is nearly impossible to cast, but with all the positive reviews and at this price I thought "What the heck, I'll take a chance."VERY pleasantly surprised!

I matched this to a. Inexpensive saltwater reel and a tfo professional rod. I like a medium fast rod. The line layed out well, macenice loops, and landed well. I have only used it a few times soI cannot speak to memory and durability. It does its job and is at a good pri e point. Better versed anglers might have a different opinion about speed, length of shooting head, and line control, but if you want a line you can with or just hit the water with, this is a nice choice.

Nice, cheap fly line. Only complaint is that the colors are poorly represented in photos. Moss/Gold is indeed moss/gold, but the photo shows it as a more olive/orange which I would have preferred. Still, color doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things - so I'll take it. I buy cheap line and replace every year. Fine for small stuff, but wouldn't recommend for salt.

I don't have any issues with this line. When I go fishing I concentrate ON fishing, not on line performance and I haven't noticed anything negative about this particular line.
