About this item

  • Enhanced Line Control: Long head design allows for better line management and helps to transfer energy efficiently to the leader. Provides smoother, more controlled performance, especially when casting at longer distances
  • Durable Construction: PVC layer outside the braided line, high-tech coating for dependable floatation and durability. Braided core for lower memory for any weather conditions and any distance, even in windy conditions. Built to withstand rigorous fishing conditions, ensuring long-lasting reliability on the water
  • Two Welded Loops: Featured with welded loops at both ends for easy attachment to backing and leaders without the need for knots, saving time on the water and allowing for smoother casts and easier line changes. Also, welded loops reduce friction as the line passes through the rod guides, which can improve casting distance and accuracy
  • Versatile Applications: This Weight forward floating fly line delivers accuracy for any distance and for all around trout fishing-whether beginners or experts
  • Variety of Color/Size Choices: Available in WF1, WF2, WF3, WF4, WF5, WF6, WF7, WF8, weights, in length of 100ft. Besides, the high visibility colors allow anglers to easily track the movement of fish
  • Line Spool Included: Come with a line spool made of wheat straw, which is lightweight, durable, and resistant to corrosion. Makes it convenient to organize your line and keep it tangle-free

I bought this fly line as an experiment. I had read reviews about people having issues with cracked coatings and quality issues. I purchased the 3 wt and spooled it on my reel. The line I got was in the exact box shown and had a welded loop on both ends. I would describe the color as a pale blue and peach. I read so many reviews about cheap fly lines being tangled but truthfully even on 90$ Scientific Angler lines it's just the nature of the beast. Taking your time to spool any fly line will help.I fished the line 1 time so far. Casting was great, nice smooth coating, great taper. 6 months from now it might be junk but time will tell. If it turns out to be crap, I'm out a total of 12$. The quality of this line is as good or better than Rio avid and the economy versions that SA has out.I'm not expecting a 90$ line and if your just needing a decent fly line, try one

Works as it should, would compare to some high end lines from mainstream companies. Fished it several times with no issues and for the price I don’t mind replacing it once a year

Great product! My only complaint is I thought it would be a lighter green. Awesome bang for your buck! You will be ripping lips and jacking jaws on them big old german browns as soon as you hit the lake or stream! Great buy for the price!

This is a good serviceable fly line, as a beginner, I do not think I could tell the difference between this line and one costing much more It was easy to spool on to the flyreel it has a welded loop on each end which makes attaching it to the backing and tippet very easy The linenhas a tag tomshow you which end should go-to the reel

This line is a loosely coiled hank that is placed into a plastic fake dispensing spool. When you go to spool it onto you reel, it quickly kinks in the fake spool and then you remove it........ and then it becomes a bird's nest and the battle begins. The line itself seems fine, for the price. Time will tell. But in Summary: Simply due to the loose coil that this item comes as........ HARD PASS!

1. welded loops are functional but not quite as clean as I've seen on some other lines (Cortland 444 peach for example).2. it floats well.3. it's true to weight and casts well on both the 5wt rods I tried it on.4. the color isn't so bright it makes my eyes bleed.5. and least importantly the fish I caught couldn't even guess how much I paid for my fly line.I'm not a guide and as much as I'd like to, I don't fish 200 days a year. If I were or I did I could understand spending $100 for a fly line. Since I'm not and I don't, spending well under $20 for something that has at least 85% of the performance of the premium stuff makes a lot of sense. Even if the line were to undergo spontaneous combustion after a dozen trips it would still make financial sense to go with the inexpensive (not cheap) option.
