The bagel slicer is fast and clean to use. It is used with little force, just push the tapered blade onto the bagel. Due to the precise design, the bagel slicer will produce the smallest slice when shredding. Unlike the bread knife, which needs to move forward and backward, the bagel slicer will be sliced cleanly and has access slots for convenient bagel removal
Procedure:
- Grasp the top of the handle with one hand and the base with the other hand, and remove the handle of the bagel slicer from the base
- Place the bagel on the base. Then place the handle blade face down on the base. After placing the blade portion of the handle straight on the base, push down until the blade of the handle contacts the base
- Hold the base with one hand and the handle with the other hand to take out the cut bagel
Recommendations
Never slice frozen or stale bagels as they blunt the blade. Slice the bagel before freezing it, or defrost the frozen bagel before slicing it
During slicing, hot, wet or "sticky" bagels may be squashed or flattened; Let the bagel cool before slicing
Suitable for medium hardness, especially hard bagels, not soft bagels

This slices bagels very easily and safely. There are very few crumbs, unlike cutting with a knife and your fingers are never near the blade. Highly recommend. A child could use this safety.

I wish I returned it. It is big and takes up space while being completely uselessIt is not wide enough for many bagels and definitely not sharp enough to cut them. It simply squeezes it down without slicing

This is OK it gets the bagels sliced and that's all I wanted. I have noticed if the bagels aren't the 'right' size it slices super off so one side is thin and the other too thick for my toaster but it works and was inexpensive.

I like this for safety purposes for my daughter but everytime we use it the bagel always gets smooshed.

I never knew that a bagel slicer even existed before I binge-watched The O.C.I looked it up on Amazon and, lo & behold, there it was!I saw the variety of colours and was so happy to see that it was available in aqua!It went straight into my cart, LOLIt works beautifully and I highly recommend it.

Definitely not meant for cutting soft bagels, but actually works quite nice for most of the ones we have used. Very easy to use.

The reason that we got this was because my mom keeps cutting her hand while slicing bagels so we thought it would be helpful & I guess she didn’t cut her hand but the blade is dull & wiggly very disappointing the only bit of goodness on this gadget was the very nice dark turquoise blue Handel chefs kiss to that but useless for cutting bagels

The color! I gifted it for Christmas and she loved the color. It cut pretty good for the first half dozen bagels. Get what ya pay for. Wish I wouldn't have gifted them. Won't purchase again. Not much choice though!
