Started making my own bread at home and so I picked up this handy dandy bread slicer. Perfectly slices each section evenly, holds it in place and collapses for storage. Love It!

So, I love this thing lets start off with that but it does have some problems that make it annoying to use from time to time. It's very easy to clean, just clean it the way you would a cutting board, hot water, soap and a sponge and let it dry before use. It folds up very easily which is great for smaller kitchens or if you don't want it out all the time.As for the sturdiness, it's not bad but after a month of having it and around 20 loves of bread it does show signs of being cut up in the grooves and across. Could just be that I'm applying too much pressure or cutting longer than I should but it's worth noting. The adjustable cutting area is a great idea but with the bread machine that I use my loaves are too big for the medium loaf size and too small for the large loaf size so it just slides back and forth while I'm trying to cut my bread, not a big deal, just annoying. The backing piece of the cutter is very nice, I just wish there was some sort of a presser or holder for the other side. I have the problem of I put my loaf in, try to hold it in place while cutting and also trying to keep the slicer from shifting or sliding and I sometimes end up with wonky mis-cut bread that is the real problem for me. I hate trying to cut bread and them oops, it started sliding and now I have a cut that's normal to massive halfway through or normal to paper thin. It can be fixed by having someone press it against the backer but it sucks that I need help to cut bread because of that. All in all it's not a bad product and everything can be fixed or ignored but I just wish that some things were different.

OK I love this bread cutting guide! My son helped me figure it out lol I went to use it and it wouldn't cut all the way to the bottom of the bread. Turns out you had to flip the guides around. They have a little locking mechanism where you pull the sides out and then twist them around. I read someone in the reviews they returned theirs because of it, not knowing. There aren't instructions that I saw so I'm not surprised. The knife isn't very sharp but I liked how it attached to the side of the crumb tray so I got it. Figured I could have it sharpened at some point. All in all, I really like it!!

This board came as illustrated on Amazon. All of the parts fit, and you can cut bread with it. But...The fit of the parts is both tight, and loose. Some are a hassle to set where you want, while others wiggle back and forth as you slice. Bread cuts are not clean or even; I easily do better cutting without it than I do struggling to use it. Also, while you can select various widths of slice, you cannot adjust for the width. Lastly is width again: I obviously bake my own bread, or why have a slicer, right? Bread loaves are not perfectly similar - some wider or narrower than the last. This slicer again allows you to select for loaf width... but not ADJUSTwidth. Some loaves are SQUEEZED into the sides, others wiggle back and forth, making lop-sided angle cuts...Does it work? Yes. Is it durable? Yes. Easy to store? Clean? Look good? Yes, yes & yes!Do I use it? Sorry, no, I do better without it.

I'm still on the fence with this one! It does scratch very easily, so you have to be careful when your knife gets to the bottom. You have to be careful as the knife goes down to make sure you're not cutting the guides as well. I'm going to get a cheap cheap light weight cutting board or mat and cut it down to fit the bottom to keep from scratching it up. It will have to cut three different sizes depending on what width I end up using. I'm thinking that should work great, we will find out soon. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is not high enough for some of the bread I make in the bread machine, so you are guessing and hoping that you start the cut in the right place. Well, you usually are not! My cuts on my tall loaf came out very very uneven. Still trying different ways of cutting the tall ones. I wish the guides were a little tighter in the groves they set in, would make it a little easier to hold the bread and not move back and forth to much. I like the sturdiness for the most part. I like how it comes apart and stores in the tray, fits right on top of my bread machine for storage. Nice looking, but still trying to like it.

If there’s anything negative about this product it’s how often you have to clean it. It’s great. Protects my knives, counter tops, cuts even slices, and sores away easily. I’d highly recommend it if you make homemade bread.

Well the knife that came with it was too short and didn't cut straight so it would alway cut at an angle and ended up gouging the wood. Also the knife was too short and would come out of the slot on the other side. You had to make short 1 inch strokes to get it to work, for sourdough bread it just was too much of a struggle to use. Its a bit of a bummer, I had high hopes. Im sending it back.

Bought this to help my Husband slice bread with right side weakness after a stroke, we've both found it helpful.

The knife spaces are a little wide so room for error but not very noticeable.
