These are good quality nuts and worked perfectly. I'm using them outdoors and was concerned they are slightly magnetic because I didn't think this grade of stainless steel was supposed to be. If they are too high in iron content they might rust, but maybe I don't understand it fully. But it's a very weak magnetism so probably low in iron or whatever attracts them to magnets. I expect them to work great.

Used to make custom fasteners, cut to length and are still holding. A little "After thread lock" makes them nearly permanent while allowing them to be taken apart when necessary for fine tuning adjustments.

Buy a box. Big box stores neglect simple hardware or charge 6x for a 4 pack. Small hardware stores lived on nuts and bolts. Todays giants don't Even know what you're talking about.

This is a review for Bates- Stainless Steel Hex Nut, 5/16-18, 50 Pack, Stainless Steel Nuts, Hardware Nuts, Metal Nuts, Steel Nut, 5/16 Nut, 5/16 Nuts, 5/16-18 Nut.These nuts are made well, and the threading is spot on. I can screw them on a bolt or stud and they run down and have little to no sloop in them. The only thing that would have been nice is to include the bolts as well. Even though I have lost a few, I have needed the whole setup; nut and bolt. This is mainly when I have had to drill out a rivet and needed something to use when it was going back together instead of digging through to find the correct rivet.These are useful at time but would be more so to have both. Other than that, they are good to have around in case you lose the original nut.
