Bad design. It is very uncomfortable to use because the whole strap, and especially where the elastic pieces connect to the top mount, rub against / dog in to your body as you do pullups. Unfortunately I think I missed my return window but I want to send this back.

Unfortunately these pull up bands weren't very assistive since I wasn't able to apply tension to them. These are meant for average height people so those who are on the shorter side should be aware.

This item can be adjusted in how much assistance it gives you as you get stronger. How long it lasts before breaking is still to be determined. We'll see.

I have been wanting to learn how to do pull ups for a while now. Last year I purchased the bar to attach to the doorway but it was evident I needed something to help me. I tried the other bands (the ones that look like gigantic rubber bands) but they did not work at all and I almost fell because they are not easy to use. After seeing these, I actually though they would do it. I tried to use all the bands (250 lbs) and there was absolutely no assistance at all. At the gym I can use the machine and 175 lbs is perfect to help me do an assisted pull up. I don't know why these aren't working? It's like the bands really aren't 250 lbs and more like 50 lbs?

There is a reason they call the pull-up the "King" of bodyweight exercises. To do a "strict" pull-up, you must incorporate all the upper body muscles - back, shoulders, arms, chest, and core. There's a reason that all the fitness tests used by military special forces, S.W.A.T., etc. have the pull-up as an integral part. Not only is it a good indicator of an individual's upper body strength, but it's also relevant to their mission (i.e., lifting yourself and all your equipment over a wall). You add push-ups, squats, and a plank and that's the bodyweight "Big Four" - everything you need for a decent full-body workout. That said, what if you can't do a single pull-up? How do you get started?Enter the Bilbear Pull Up Assistance Bands. This is the perfect tool to help you start on your journey to mastering this exercise. It's very easy to set up on any pull-up bar. From carrying case to ready to go in under 3 minutes, and it stores back in the carrying case in even less time. With the four resistance straps they provide, you can offload up to 250 pounds of your body weight (one 50-pound, one 60-pound, and two 70-pound straps). These straps allow you to reduce your "felt" body weight significantly. You may not be able to do a "strict" pull-up (no legs to help "kick" your chin over the bar) with your full body weight, but if you can reduce your weight by 50, 60, or 110 pounds, that will make it significantly easier. As you build your upper body strength, you can remove the resistance bands individually. At some point, you'll support and lift your entire body weight with the upper body muscles! This is a great tool for those just starting out with the pull-up, or those returning after a hiatus, to those older individuals than may need a little bit (or a lot) of help to recover from age-related loss of muscle. I'm very impressed with this device and would recommend it to anyone. My recommendation - a great buy to start the new year!

I think this will assist me in getting a full blown pull up in, however I think the bands weights are not accurate. I am about 180 pounds and I had all 4 bands (250 pounds) in place and could only get half a pull up in.Set up was easy and it appears to be good quality that will hold up. I love the carabiner clips for easy adjustability. I did have a little difficulty getting both of my feet in independently and would be much safer with a second set of hands as an assist.
