This is a review of the Blink Outdoor Vinyl Siding Mount with Waterproof Case.I didn’t want to put screws through our new vinyl siding, so I thought I’d give this product a try, and I’m glad I did.The “No-Holes Needed†mounting brackets, with full weatherproof covers, were designed for the new Blink Outdoor Security Camera. These came in a three pack, which was exactly what I needed.I wasted no time getting my front porch camera into one of the weatherproof casings, and onto it’s mount. Putting everything together was fast and easy, and hooking it into my vinyl siding was even easier. Setting up the right camera angle took some patience, but that was more fussy than difficult.Whether viewing in the “live view†mode, or in the playback mode, I haven’t noticed any visible camera vibration, even in a moderate breeze. The metal clips that hold everything in place appear to be working as designed. These kits come with everything that’s required for mounting, and more. They also include wood screws and plastic screw anchors, in case you want to mount the camera brackets with screws, rather than via the included siding clips. And, there are nine clips, even though you only use two clips per mount. That leaves you with three extra clips. It also comes with nine machine screws, for attaching the clips to the mounts. After using the two remaining mounts to attach cameras to the rear porch siding, and to the back wall of the house, I found that with a little modification of two of the remaining clips, I could screw them to the back of a solar powered yard light and attach that to the vinyl siding on our garage. The camera mounts allow for a full 360° positioning of the cameras. A threaded plastic ring locks the mount’s notched ball-in-socket (elbow) to hold it securely in place, and a threaded wheel keeps the camera pointing to where you need it to point. These mounts are designed to allow you to easily remove the camera from the mount, when you have to change camera batteries. My only real concerns with using vinyl siding clips are as follows: (1) anyone can almost instantly and effortlessly make off with the cameras; (2) whether they will damage the vinyl siding in a heavy wind, especially in a very cold Upstate New York winter, when the vinyl tends to become a bit brittle, (3) and/or, how well they’ll hold in place on a very windy day.So far, these mounts earn all five stars. I will, as I usually do, update my review after I’ve had more time to test the mounts’ durability and effectiveness.

Pretty easy to use, stick to surfaces well and stay put. Good clear picture just what I was looking for nothing fancy but very functional.

Overall, the case is nice but if you want to add a solar panel you have to manually cut the case which isn't easy. They you in the directions but then it doesn't align with the charging port. I was not able to use this with solar panels due to this fact. I do use it with the batteries, and it was easy to install and is working fine.

I had purchased a three camera system when they were on sale, and wasn't exactly sure where I wanted each of the cameras to go. I figured there would be a bit of trial and error to get it place right where I wanted them to, and really didn't want to be putting holes into my siding only to have to move the camera. The mounts themselves were easy to put together, and are just as easy to attach to the siding. They've held the cameras in place through a few pretty windy storms, so seems like a solid option if you want to avoid drilling.

It is great that you don't need to make holes in your siding. I was able to hang the camera and go back and adjust the position to make it optimal without making a mess of my house.

Put these up by one of my doors and was worried that it wouldn't hold the weight of the camera but it's been there for a couple of months now and so far it hasn't moved

I was expecting more from these cameras than the ones I have already. The quality is very poor when it comes to the night vision. I’ve seen some that were better quality than this, I’m very disappointed and this was a birthday gift from my children. I’m trying to figure out how to return this and request a refund. These are the Blink 4 and the night time function is definitely not a go at all. Plus in order to get like you have to turn it on unlike my other . I’m upset and disappointed. Ugh!

I only needed 2 housings for my blink system for the installation areas that are more exposed areas of the house. These are a pretty decent additions and I'm happy I got these, instead of screws (included in the mounting hardware), I use automotive 3m stick tape, I installed these on siding and didn't want screw holes, that is one option these are lacking, but that is my own thoughts.PROSKeeps the elements away from the cameraEasy to access the cameras to change batteries (once a year..)Well builtHolds the camera very tightCONSDoes muffle the sounds a bit more than the non encased cameras

I love the simplicity and intuitive design built into the cameras! Even though it's weatherproof by itself I purchased the outdoor cover plates for additional protection from Canadian winters!

Loved the simplicity of installation. Didnt have to put any holes in my siding. Had a hurricane the night after I installed them, 120km/hr winds and the cameras were still there the next morning. The camera cases and mounts are quite durable!!!
