I've purchased three different timers like this, all with great reviews. I cannot speak to the longevity of this product because I've only been using it for a week or so, but it works perfectly, it's easy to use, easy to understand, and, most critically, the power outlet is on the side and the unit leaves other outlets available.I mostly wanted this for chargers, like phone chargers, so that I am not leaving things on a charger for hours and hours, since that is typically not good for rechargeable batteries. With this kind of timer, I can plug in a phone or whatever, set it to charge for a few hours, and I don't have remember to pull it off the charger now.I have tested two other units (from different companies) and they all work as intended, but the ONE difference is the others block two or more outlets. If you are plugging into power strip, for example, you are likely going to block another outlet unless the unit is plugged into the bottom, whereas this unit is more narrow and the outlet is on the side, so in most cases it is not blocking another outlet. On a standard wall outlet (a dual outlet in a home), you can plug it into either outlet and the other outlet is available.The one caveat is on power strips where the outlets are rotated 90 degrees (so most power adapter wiring would be coming off the side): in these cases this unit would actually block THREE outlets. So be aware of what you intend to plug into. Still, the other units I've tested all block at least two outlets no matter what they are plugged into because of their size and outlet orientation.Also, each button is dedicated to a time, whereas some other units require you to keep pressing to get to the desired time.

Overall a simple device to do the job. My use case is an e bike plug. Bike recommends not leaving plugged in all night. I'm not one to remember to go unplug it after a couple hours.Set this switch up, plug bike in then select time based on how much charge I think it needs and walk away. Works great.Buttons are labeled well enough, it is not bulky, and timing seems on the mark enough for me.I do recommend for anyone with similar needs.Good value imo and silent in case you were wondering.

Works well for my usage. Wanted to be able to wake up with a charged tablet, but didn't want it to actively be charging all night as that's bad for the battery, and a possible hazard on the tablet side. Plug in, look at estimated charge time then click the button, usually 2 hours.

There's nothing to dislike about this very basic device. In my case I only use it as a timer for two of my very old school portable electric heaters during Winter in my garage "man cave" space. I discovered myself guilty of forgetting to unplug those heaters once I would leave that space for the day. Thrilled to have discovered this particular timer with its numerous available time duration choices that can be engaged by simply pushing a button it was a no-brainer purchase. And this device certainly reliable works as advertised...... until it doesn't.But I'm giving this manufacturer a pass (for now) as this failure of one of my two units occurred after a couple of months use. Things break. And that's what Amazon's return policy is for. So I'll be sure to report how things go when I request a replacement. In fact, I'm actually going to order a third timer because I have another application for it.Suggestion to the manufacturer:in both of my use cases with your timer, things would have been MUCH more convenient for me if you would have placed the port for the power cord (of the device being plugged-into your timer) on the RIGHT side of the timer (instead of on the left size). I suggest you create a version of this timer with a port on the right side as an option?So, and despite the failure of one of these two units, I still give this five stars for now.

I bought this specifically to use for charging my Shokz OpenRun headphones. I have read some complaints about the OpenRuns battery dying prematurely. And the manufacturer says this is usually due to overcharging them. They say they should not be charged for over 2 hours as it can result in battery damage. I LOVE my OpenRuns, so wanted to make certain I didn't forget and leave them on charge overnight. So, this little gadget is a perfect solution. No timer to set, it's small and compact, taking up only one outlet and leaving the other clear for other things. Just press the button that corresponds to how long you want it to be supplying power. And when it's done, it turns off. I find that normally 30 minutes to an hour is sufficient to keep my OpenRuns charged. But If I really run them flat, I can use the 2 hour button on the timer and KNOW that I won't accidently overcharge them. It depends on one's needs and uses for a timer, but this one is perfect for that I needed a timer to do.

This thing is cool! Going to have to get a few more and put them throughout the house for things that I don't want to stay on all the time. I charge my phones on it and I can put it on there for an hour or two and it does what I want without overcharging the battery. Nice design, wish I'd known about these kind of things before! Nice.

Lo compré para conectar mi celular y que no se estuviera cargando toda la noche, funciona siempre muy bien, ya llevo meses usándolo, solo me ha sucedido en 2 ocasiones que no se apaga, no se si es por que se haya ido la luz y cuando regresa se prende en automático pero fuera de eso nada que reportar

Limits charge time to protect your battery. Works great.It would be nice if it counted down the time left by lighting up the closest time, but does what it claims and works well. If you set it for 6h, it lights up the 6h button and turns off on 6h as expected.
