I bought this replacement handle for a Cold Steel Trail Boss, it fits. In both side by side pictures, the replacement was used for the axe on the left. The axe on the right is still original. You can see the replacement has a thicker shoulder. So the leather sheath I'd bought and stretched to fit, no longer fits. However the kydex sheath I had for the other Trail Boss works. The kydex sheath isn't reliant on the shoulder. The replacement handle came with a wood wedge, and two small metal wedges. The wood wedge was full size, so it was too long for this axe eye. Easy enough to cut it to size. After I set the handle and used the wood wedge, I trimmed the handle that was sticking out, prior to setting the metal wedges. One did turn on me a bit while driving it, but it should be fine. After I've had to opportunity to use it, I'll update this review.

PITA stickers that don't come off cleanly plastered all over the handle. Decent otherwise. Varnished, but easy enough to sand off and replace with a decent finish.

Perfect if you want to fix an old ax. Do yourself a favor and check out the proper way to install an ax handle in a U-tube video.

I’ve had this axe for 52 years. Finally had to RE handle it. The fit on this handle is great right out of the box. Only slight filing for perfect fit. It will get a light sand and refinish to my taste but other than that I’m very impressed. Here’s to another 52 years of camping💪
