No space for storage of large slicer, didn't want to spend much for a slicer, I looked for alternatives. Lucked up on this slicer and so glad I did. Small, afordable, neat, does exactly what I wanted it to do and more. Yes, it's plastic and just a tad flimsy but just hold firmly when slicing and you get a perfect slice everytime. Loaf seemed too wide to fit in the opening to slice. Squeezed it a bit and it worked, making slicing steadier and more uniform. My only wish is that it came in a thin wood option to match my cutting board. Either way I'd buy it, highly recommend it, and would buy again as is.

This inexpensive slicer does what I need it to do. It helps me make even cuts across the entire loaf. The rubber feet don’t work very well so the slicer has a tendency to slide across my counter. To work around this I put a cutting board against the wall and use that as a stop for the slicer. It makes the entire process easier and I can slice the full loaf in just about 2 minutes. The slicer is lightweight, easy to adjust, easy to clean and folds up neatly for easy storage.

I get sourdough loaves from my neighbor and this is PERFECT! An average of 16 slices per loaf. It won’t work on ROUND loaves. I have recommended this to everyone.

So my slices are more uniform than when I try to slice my homemade bread on my own, but it's a struggle to get there. It's very flimsy, and I have to use one hand to push the bread securely against the unit, one hand to hold the unit so it doesn't slide around, and one hand to use the knife to slice. Wait, I only have two hands.... and there's the issue. Slicing bread with this is a 2-man job. I have to enlist my husband to hold the slicer while I do the slicing. On the plus side, I like that is compact, which means I have to remove the loaf after each slice to fetch the slice out. Compact wins on that issue. My bread is from a bread machine, and the loaf just barely fits (very snug) width-wise. But it fits, so it's fine. I'll keep using it because, despite its shortcomings, it does actually give me more uniform slices for sandwiches than free-slicing.

The only good thing about this is that it folds up nicely for storage. The sides aren’t adjustable, so woe to the person who doesn’t bake their bread to that exact dimension. The section you put the knife in to slice the bread is flimsy, it spends a good portion of the time snagging on your knife. After each slice, you have to fight the knife back out of the slat and remove the loaf to extract the one slice you just did in order to slice the next piece. The placement of the foldable bit means you have to be a contortionist to use this easily. You have to hold the bread in place, putting pressure on the end of the loaf to keep it seated firmly against the backboard, while applying downward pressure to keep the whole shebang in place with one hand while your other hand fights to get the knife into the slot to slice. It’s pretty unwieldy to use.If you’re single and prefer to just do a slice or two at a time when needed, this might be an ok thing to have. If you have a family and you just slice the loaves up all at once, this is far more hassle than what it’s worth. Unless you like the feeling of wanting to pitch the whole thing against the wall in frustration. If that’s the case, knock yourself out and buy this sucker, because you WILL want to throw this thing every time you use it!

I've been baking my own bread for several months but I can't seem to slice it evenly. I finally decided to look for a bread slicer. Most of them take up a lot of space and are made to slice the whole loaf. This one was made to slice one piece of bread at a time which was what I wanted. It's a lot easier to keep fresh if I only slice one or two pieces. It has several slots depending on how thick I want my bread and a small platform to rest the loaf.Clean-up is a breeze and it folds pretty flat for easy storage. The price is right, too.

This well designed device is, unfortunately, quite fragile. In figuring out how to use it I broke it right out of the box. I can probably fix it with super glue, and it did arrive intact, so I'm not going to return it. I should have taken the "delicately designed" phrase in the product description more seriously!Pros:- Folds quite compactly to fit easily in a drawer or cabinet.- Adjustable baffle permits several options for thickness of the slice.- Slot for knife allows the blade to continue past the bottom of the loaf for a clean cut.Cons:- It breaks really easily.- Openings in the loaf support allow crumbs to drop onto the counter.- It really should be used on a cutting board to avoid damaging the knife or scratching the counter.- Did I mention? It breaks. REALLY easily. For the price, I'm not sure I could expect better. But I am disappointed. I can't really recommend it.

My homemade bread machine loaf of bread fit in it just right, a tiny bit snug, which prevented the loaf from wiggling around when I sliced it. It has a little groove in the bottom of the slicing tray for the knife to go into after it slices through the depth of the bread to prevent the plastic from getting sliced. I had returned a bamboo one that the bread was way to loose in and my knife cut into the bamboo after it cut through the loaf. This is incredibly easy to use, clean, and works great and folds for storage. Finally found a perfect little slicer that takes up very little room in my kitchen and cuts perfect slices. Love it and highly recommend it.

Last one from another company broke after about 6 months. This one seems better built and I love being able to change the slice size. Fits my home made loafs, too.

I saw this Eon Concepts Bread Slicer Guide demonstrated on YouTube, so that's what made me decide to get it as I was frustrated with the large size of the wooden bread slicer guide I already had. First off, the package came damaged, so the rubber feet paddings and e-book went missing in transit, so I have to put a wet dishcloth or silicone mat underneath to stop the unit from slipping on the counter when I use it. Having said that, I only bake about two or three loaves of bread a month in standard 5 inch by 9 inch loaf pans, so this compact bread slicing guide is just the right size for them as loaves larger than 5 inches wide and 6 inches high won't fit. The moveable size guide allows you to cut slices anywhere from about 1/2 to 1 1/4 inches thick. Be aware, you can only cut one slice at a time, which isn't an issue for me. It's easy to clean - just swish in soapy water, rinse, then leave out to air dry. It seems sturdy enough, but it is made of hard plastic, so it might not survive a fall on the floor. Storage isn't a problem, as when it's folded up, it doesn't take up much more room than a paperback book.

Took some time to decide which one and this was it! Perfect slices of my machine bread every time. This we machine is small, takes no space, needs nothing just itself and I have slices of my bread no matter how it comes out of my machine. Yes, I can recommend.
