I bought a modern gaming desk that fit my space needs, but unfortunately, it didn't come with LED accent lighting the way the other gaming desk models do. I bought some LEDs to fix that but I needed more length! These extenders worked perfectly!

These worked perfect for extending my left side lights to my controller box on the right side of my 2016 Slingshot

I love BTF lighting products. These 6 foot extensions are really nice. It allows you to put a break in your lighting to be able to connect things without having a solder and do a bunch of other stuff. And because the BTF lighting uses the same color and the same connectors it just snapped together really easily.

Resistance goes up as the size of the wire goes down. Intuitively you know this - the wire running into your house is bigger than the wire running to your lamp.Likewise, resistance goes up as the length of wire goes up. There's math that governs all this, but you don't really care.BTF certainly knows this. They say as much in the listing (well, in one picture) for this very product. "Signal instability or voltage drop may occur due to long length extension cables." The first symptoms of this will be flicker (signal instability) and a drop in brightness, first in the blues, then greens, then finally reds. This is why too long of a run of LEDs will result in a sickly orange-red at the far end from where power is provided - red + dim green = yellow, but with more red. (This is foreshadowing - if you have these symptoms after installing this extension, you read it here...)So, if you're going to knowingly extend an LED cable, what do you do to overcome these problems? (Hint: review the first two sentences in the body....) You can make it shorter, which defeats the idea of an extension cable, or you use higher quality, larger wire. What does BTF use here? SMALLER wire than many lighting products.BTF's own (awesome) 12 and 24V strips use 20AWG on the provided pigtails. Most of the 5V, high density strips and panels in my lab use 18AWG and/or support multiple power inputs. Putting narrower gauge between the power source and the load (the LEDS) while making it longer isn't always a safe move. Count on additional power injection or use higher voltage strips to compensate for this additional loss caused by added resistance.I pulled the math on this. A 7.2A load (120 WS2812B's @ full brightness - which is admittedly nuts) will get a .5V drop over 1m with 20AWG in this extension itself. That's enough to make many displays angry.I'm torn on this review. I've used - and consistently loved - many, many BTF lighting products. On one hand, this product is exactly what it says it is, but it misses the opportunity to actually be awesome and above .5m, it needs to be awesome, IME. It'd be worth paying for a little extra copper for a "no excuses" extension from BTF. I just have higher expectations of them than the "price is the main object" vendors. I'm reluctantly giving it 5 stars for being what it says it is and not what it should be for a reliable LED backhaul.B0CT827QQC - BTF-LIGHTING 5 pcs/Pack 20AWG 3 Pin JST SM Male Female Plug LED Connector 3.28ft(1m) Extension Cable - $12.99

This seems to be a good quality wire, I mean the insulation does not seem cheap, it's a good bend to it. Copper is copper inside I suppose. The pin connectors are good quality, feels solid, not going to break easily or cause issues. I've only had to use one piece out of the bundle, it worked fine, I would expect the others to be fine as well. Good product.
