Until now, we were using one of those bulb planters where you have to get on your knees and plunge the thing into the dirt. Well, frankly, we're getting a bit too old to do much of that. Along comes this heavy duty bulb planter! It's sturdy and designed to be used standing up. Awesome! The handles have nice cushions on them so you're not going to destroy your hands if you've got a lot of holes to dig out for those bulbs. And the additional part that allows you to push out the dug up dirt with a press of a pedal? Pure and simple genius! We love this gardening tool!

I got this bulb planter to plant bulbs in the fall for flowers in the spring. The bulb planter itself is made out of a strong metal and has no flex when pressing on it. The handle is made of metal tubing and seems fairly sturdy. When using this the teeth work great to push into the soil and when twisting it pulls the soil out easily leaving a nice hole for planting the bulb. Definitely would recommend!
