This works AMAZING! I have clay and shale soil. It goes right through the clay. I do have to use my hand shovel to break up the shale, but this works REALLY well! I tried to be cheap and get a dibber 1/2 the price and it is 1/2 the size and didn’t go as deep and wasn’t as strong and wasn’t big enough for my tulip bulbs. It Broke on the first use. This didn’t bat an eye. It digs the holes deep, plenty big and easily considering the soil type. I’m as cheap as they come and I will spare you the hassle. Spend the money and get this. It’s made extremely solid and worth the money! I planted 30 bulbs with this in about an hour and a half with a bad back, bad knees and treacherous soil (including walking and stretching breaks LOL!!)

Very durable tool. Easy to use and operates quickly and effectively. I used it to plan 75 gladiola corms and did so in about a half hour. It’s solid construction leaves the impression that it will be a gardening tool I will own/use for many years/decades!

It’s working great and isn’t made of cheap thing metal or plastic like others that have broken. Quality costs more and this one is worth the price IMO.

This is a great time saving tool. Glad I purchased it! Bending down to plant tulips isn't easy, but this tool made it bearable!

I haven't used it yet, but I know a little about metal from growing up on a farm and learning to weld. It appears very strong and unlikely to bend when used. We have some clay in our soil and I want to plant some new tulip bulbs deeper than my previous plantings. This tool should do the trick.

I used this to plant several dozen bulbs at home and at a family members home. Perfect size hole depth, good grip, and easy to use. I suggest wetting the soil if you're getting too much resistance. This was a very useful tool.
