I planted dozens of daffodil bulbs and was looking for a way to dig holes quickly without having to make a big mess. this certainly made that job quick and easy. But while this was the perfect size for the bulbs I was planting, it may be too small for other bulbs. Measure the width of the bulb before ordering.

Pay attention to the diameter of your bulbs. This drills a fairly small diameter hole, but it was fine for my Hurricane Lilies.

Once we got this, my husband happily volunteered to help me plant my seedlings in the spring. We have clay soil so digging a good seedling hole can be a pain sometimes, this gets it done in a few seconds. Love it, what a time saver.

I need to dig some holes for putting up fence post so thought I will try this auger bit rather than buying a huge gas powered auger.This auger bit keeps getting stuck, it needs a shaper point. I bought another type auger bit but that didn’t do any better.Finally I switched to using 1†wood drill bit with a 12†extender and it works perfectly well an impact driver. It can dig up holes in dry and wet soil, it can even loosen up grass, roots and pebbles.

We planted 104 bulbs. The drill started to burn out, but the drill bit looks fine and ready for next year!
