Works well for what it’s intended. Butter slices easier when not as cold. Easy to use and clean. Lid doesn’t fit tight, not air-tight. Clear plastic container.

I've searched for years for a convenient butter-cutter-holder, and finally found one worthy of a spot in my kitchen. Construction appears very good, design is attractive, and it fulfills several of my requirements including dividing stick butter into pats. It works! I keep my butter in the fridge, as I don't use it quickly enough to keep in a cupboard. I let two sticks (the long ones) come to room temperature and slice them, then put the cover on and put back in the fridge. The pats stay separated! Great for toast, in a pan for sunnyside up eggs, adding last-minute richness to ramen, etc. Only quibble is, the wires sometimes don't cut all the way through, so I have to turn it over and press the rest of the way with my thumbs. making it more of a 4.5*. But still ... not too much of a liability when I end up with such great results that last me weeks.

This is glass and good for its value. The cutting screen isn’t of my choice but works okay. Maybe after I use it more I will like it better. Butter needs to be room temperature to cut.

Update 1/31/24: Seller saw my review and offered me a refund. I told them I wasn't asking for a refund, I just hoped they would improve the product. They sent me a new model that the lid does snap on. I'm very pleased with it and impressed with their response! I give it 5 stars now because that was my only complaint!The idea of this could be a great product. Unfortunately making a lid that snaps on did not seem to occur to them. I love the rest of this product, but the lid has fallen off twice while taking it out of the fridge and spilled butter all over the floor. Then I have a greasy mess to clean up. Wouldn't buy this again.

Get it!!! It’s so handy to have. I hate touching butter with my bare hands so this fixes that problem. Only thing, leave the butter out for a little bit. It makes it easier to cut.

I got this thinking it would be convenient to have pre-sliced butter and I thought it would make it easier but it wasn't. the wires did not slice through the butter even when the butter was soft, one or 2 of the wires snapped so I just threw it away. I would not suggest purchasing this product

The cutter was too flimsy to handle refrigerated butter. I am using the container to store my grass fed butter blocks as perfect size. It was inexpensive so didn’t need to return. Very good and quick delivery.
