I've heard that this type of adhesive will get stronger over time. You definitely want to keep the unused role in a plastic bag, or some type of container.The butyl adhesive is a little messy when first trying to unroll, but it is what it is.My usage is to seal the sides of insulation material (foil wrapped over bubble wrap), where I previously used aluminum foil tape. This butyl tape seems more flexible than the 3m aluminum tape.This is sticky, and you have to take your time as you would with the foil tape or it will fold over on itself. Not the tapes' fault.This product is a little more expensive than the foil tape, but will work for different applications.

This repair/flashing/sealing tape arrived quickly and without damage.Quality of the material and adhesive is good. I was pleasantly surprised by both the adhesion and flexibility of the tape. It installed and adhered well even at low temperature.Would I buy this again, Yes.I use Amazon reviews every time when considering a product purchase. Here is my rating scale:5 Stars: Excellent product, no hesitation recommending or using.4 Stars: Good product with some limitations, could be improved.3 Stars: Fair product, can be made to work if your put your mind to it.2 Stars: Not very functional.1 Star: Don’t bother, it might even be painful.

I really like the quality of this product. It is far better than typical duct tape or anything close to it. Not for everyday use because of the cost; however, it has superior adhesion and is waterproof and strong. Butyl tape can be used for a variety of purposes where ordinary tape would be inadequate. Definitely worth having a role around.

I've used foil tape for many applications in the past. It tears easy and sometimes doesn't seal well. This stuff is leagues better! While it is little messy when unrolling (the edges tend to stick), once applied, it is awesome. Seals right up and even retains a little flexibility in the case of ducts moving a little bit.I've used this for everything from duct work to waterproofing RF connections. It really has a great range of uses and I'm very happy with how well it works.

I have used this type of tape before, so I am familiar with it. This is a more durable style of tape than I have used before. It has a peel off backing to expose a very sticky adhesive. I wrap my pool pump hoses to keep the sun off of them and what I have used before needs replacing. This is thicker and has some flex to it so it works better than a previous brand. I also had a branch poke a hole in an awning and since this has a great adhesive, I think it will do fine. I will keep this tape inside because I have realized if it sits in my hot garage, it is not as easy to work with and the glue has dried out in other brands. I also plan to put my roll in a ziploc bag to keep better.

This Aluminum Duct Sealing Tape looks good and just as advertised. I like how wide it is which minimizes the need to use several layers to cover the surface, but I wish it would be also longer, because apparently I came short on it and it was not long enough. I will have to see how well the adhesive will hold with time, but it is still on for now.

This butyl tape serves many purposes.The adhesive quality makes for excellent seals against air leaks, as well I cut 1.5" wide by 8" length strips to seal LMR coax connections on wireless equipment.The adhesive is protected by an easy to remove backing paper.
