My lady loves to flip furniture. She's fairly good at it and we continually have new pieces cycling through our house. Not only is it lucrative for her, but it gives her the freedom to remodel and redecorate the house at will. Our furniture is often in flux, either because it's a new piece that's making its rounds around the home or a current piece gets painted and new hardware. Things are always changing, and usually improving. I'm always looking for tools to make her work easier, so when I saw this jig I had to try it.It arrived in a plain box, well-padded and in near-mint condition.This is a nice jig! We've only recently discovered the joys of jigs and how much time/effort they help you save. This jig makes it a lot easier to install cabinet doors, whether in kitchen cabinets or on pieces of standing furniture. Where you would normally have to use three hands to try holding the door as you measure and then drill this takes care of it for you. The little moving panels are padded and rotate freely so you won't mar the surface when you tighten. The coating is thick and the white measurement ticks are easy to see.Overall I'm thrilled with this cabinet door jig. It makes doing cabinets a one-person job instead of two, and that one person gets to spend a lot less time cursing and spitting.

so i may have messed up when looking at this tool for installing hardy plank siding but I thought it came with two in the package and it did not so needless to say I was a little disappointed about that and had to get a second so these could be my second pair of hands on the job site but they do work great simple fast and easy to use and made the job so much easier for one person to bust through it

Don't expect this tool to take all the work out of mounting doors. It's basic function is to hold the door at a specified height while you set at least one screw in a hinge. I have accomplished the same thing by clamping a piece of 1x horizontally for the door to sit on. However, this jig does make it easier to clamp on than my make-shift method, and that deserves a couple of stars at least. I don't necessarily trust the scale on any of these jigs, so I still use the trust tape measure to make sure everything is spot on. In general, I like jigs that make life easier and this one purports to do that. I have no serious negative to offer. It does clamp securely and seems to hold at whatever position I want to lock it in. All in all, I am glad I own it.
