It definitely works and is very useful for USB-C connection to PC cases (if your motherboard doesn't directly support this type of connection). Keep in mind though that this specific connector only fits in the type of PCIe slots shown in the example video in the product info area at the top, it does NOT fit in the small 2 slot PCIe connectors due to the size of the adaptors connectors.Another thing to keep in mind is that if you are using this for USB-C connection, makes sure the connector (i.e wire from tower) snaps into place (i.e snaps into the connection port on the adapter), otherwise it's not properly connected. It was hard to tell if i needed to apply more pressure to get it fully snapped into place at first but after watching a few videos, it was apparent it MUST snap into place otherwise your motherboard will not detect the connection.Overall it's worked great so far and i'm happy with this product.

Arrived in a small box instead of a bag - inside of an anti-static bag covered in bubble wrap.Easy to install and setup.Has been working great since I bought it - almost three years.

Just built a new gaming rig and of course my mobo didn't have the funky new gen 2 USB C port for my case's front USB C port to work.I did a lot of research and found this card. Initially I was going to return the card because I realized as soon as I tried to install the card my expansion slots were not the correct size. Now this is a bit embarrassing as I have considered myself a techie and pretty darn computer literate/capable for some time but I HAD NO IDEA the smaller PCIE expansion slots came in different sizes. So naturally when I tried to install this card, which is built for x2 PCIE slots, and it did not FIT my available slots I nearly returned the card.Here comes the second embarrassing thing I NEVER knew about PC's......smaller expansion cards are PERFECTLY FINE sitting in larger slots! I installed this card into my motherboards second x16 PCIE slot (typically used for a graphics card) and this baby works great! I tested the card with two large 4GB movie files moving from slower SATA SSD's onto the an USB C M.2 external drive the copy and paste function took all of about 20 seconds maybe. Moving the files from the external USB C m.2 back onto my PC's main m.2 (which is a blazing fast PCIE 4 m.2) the transfer was less than 10 seconds! Crazy fast!I hope this has helped anyone who was somewhat ignorant about PCIE slots!

I needed another USB 3 header to connect the optional front panel accessory on a Lancool 216. New Windows 11 install. Card physically installs easy but Windows didn’t see the card initially. Couldn’t find a link to drivers on their site. Then I noticed one of the pictures on Amazon has the link to drivers in it. Subtracting a star for making me hunt drivers down.

I bought this to enable the front panel USB-C port on my computer, since my motherboard didn't have the required header. I have verified that it provides power and data transfer, though I haven't tested the transfer speed. Pro tip to make installation easier: plug in the cable to the header on the card before inserting it into the PCIE slot.

I've had this for a few years now, never bothered to leave a review since I mainly used it for power delivery and couldn't speak to its data delivery or longevity. I recently got a quest 3 and need to use the from panels connection and I'm getting 3gb transfer speeds with the quest 3 through this connection. Which I'll use for hours without issue. So I'm highly impressed with this and recommend it to anyone who needs an extra USB 3 connection

I got a Torrent Compact case, which has a USB-C port, but my motherboard (X570 TUF GAMING PLUS WiFi) didn't have a 3.1 Gen2 port. So I got this, and it works. Although my case's connector was straight instead of a right angle, so I had to forcefully bend and mash the cable into place to fit with my WiFi PCIe card, but it works! It even says "charging rapidly" on my Google Pixel when it plugs in, so it fully supports USB Power Delivery too!Do note: the connector is NOT double-sided like USB-C is, but it fits both ways. So if it doesn't work, flip the connector.

Easy to plug in and install. I like that the connection is on the bottom so managing the cable looks nice in my case. This is a great way to get your front panel usb c port to work if you have a cheaper motherboard that doesn't have the right usb c outlet. It is working for charging my devices, but I don't know how fast the transfer speeds are.. not a super tech savvy guy.. I hope I'm getting the advertised 10 transfer speed but I am typically using this for charging so I don't mind it. Too bad they don't come with a white option. The black against my white case clashes but that's just overall aestetics. I'll take function over looks any day! Hopefully this helps someone!
