I bought this toy thinking, Okay, maybe my cat will play with it for five minutes and then ignore it like every other toy I’ve ever bought. But oh wow, I was wrong! The moment I turned it on, my cat immediately went into full hunter mode—eyes locked in, ears perked, tail twitching like he just spotted the biggest prey of his life.The hidden movement under the fabric? Absolute genius. My cat is convinced there’s a tiny creature under there just begging to be caught. And the little butterfly on top? That thing doesn’t stand a chance! I’ve never seen my lazy loaf of a cat move so fast. He pounces, swipes, and even does dramatic leaps just to try and catch it. What I really love about this toy is that it keeps him entertained without me having to wave a wand toy around for 30 minutes. He gets his zoomies out, I get to enjoy my coffee in peace—everybody wins. Plus, the design is super cute and actually looks nice sitting on my floor (which is a rare thing for cat toys).If you have a cat who loves to chase and pounce, buy this now. I have 2 cats, a 2 year old mostly blind female and a 1 year old insane, always on the move male. Both are TNR rescues and both love interactive toys. I have a similar toy that they both love but thought switching them out would keep them from getting bored.As for assembly, it's fairly straightforward with the exception of the cover. As some have mentioned the instructions are not clear about what section needs to be unscrewed/rescrewed in order to secure the cover. After spending 10 wasted minutes I decided to check the listing which gave me a better idea and it was simple from there. I have deducted a star for lack of clarity in the instructions.Both my cats seem absolutely taken with this toy, but unlike the description (motor is quiet) the one I received does make a grinding noise when the bottom feather rotates. You can choose rotation of one or both (butterfly and feather) sections, but there is no way to adjust the speed of either. For this reason I can see my kitties tiring of this rather quickly.Overall it's a decent toy for the price ($26.58 at time of review).

My first purchase of this toy was promising, but the device had a defect. The seller, EKOUNG, handled the matter swiftly and to my (and my cat’s) delight. Excellent customer service! Now, for the device itself… some things I find compelling about it. First, it’s rechargeable via USB-C. An active cat can chew through some batteries, so having the ability to recharge the device is a great saving over feeding it batteries. Second, and this is a big improvement over a similar, older toy, is that the button to activate the toy is not on the top and protruding. My cat was always accidentally turning off the old toy by pouncing on it and pressing the power button. No more. She is able to play without interruption. The 3 modes are nice for changing things up, and the remote is great for activating it at a distance.I also have to note that she is able to turn it on herself, which I have watched her do several times. When it goes to standby mode, it just takes a tap from her paw to bring it back to life and she seems to enjoy that quite a bit. Surprised her the first time, which was really fun to see. Highly recommended!
