The filters work well. We change them every two weeks or so. The stainless steel water chamber is better than plastic. So that’s the most important thing.

These are a lifesaver for the water fountain! They extend the life of the pump and keep the water extra clean. I have tried several others and this one is the best I have found. Simple and easy to change but highly effective in trapping hair, dust, food particles, etc. very quiet and efficient. Absolutely worth the money! Simple design and easy to change.

4 stars — a great unit that my cat loves, losing nearly two stars for how hard it is to clean.This is a very quiet fountain that my finicky cat loves to drink from. I never hear the motor, only the water dripping from the "faucet." (It has a small blue light that some might dislike.)The faux-faucet could be the best part of it, especially for cats always trying to drink from human sinks. But... it's nearly impossible to thoroughly clean it. The curve is too long for the brush that comes with the unit and too-sharp an angle for even my metal-straw brushes.The rest of the unit is also annoying to clean. Every part needs a different brush and/or scrubbing technique. And it takes a long time to break it down for cleaning. That makes me (the owner) reluctant to clean it often. And you really want to clean it more often than you change the filters: every "extra" day means a chance of build up (sediment or algae or whatever), which is really hard to get rid of once it sets in.The motor/pump is especially challenging, since you can't reach the "innards" enough to make sure you've brushed off any soap residue.The filters are relatively cheap compared to other brands and I recommend buying them in 12-packs (about a year's worth, per cat). It's good to have extras in case your cat decides to drop a couple of extra toys.I also like that it has a very deep well, making it stable against playful animals bumping into it. The extra water also means it will easily last over a long weekend (at least for a single cat) or if you run into a sudden water shortage (as we did recently when a water main broke).A minor bonus: it powers up from a USB cable, instead of some proprietary source.

We purchased this fountain for our cat and she loves it. We’ve noticed that she has started drinking more water. It’s easy to clean and change filters. The noise is very minimal unless it starts to run a little low on water. We would recommend!

I love the simplicity of this fountain. It is easy to change the filter. I love that you can put it in the dishwasher. It can also be put in the dishwasher, perfect in every way.
