Cayer K6 professional Video Camera Tripod Fluid Drag Pan Head uses a fluid system to produce smooth pans and tilts for DSLRs and compact video cameras weighing up to 17.6 lb. Featuring a 75mm flat base with a 3/8"-16 threaded hole, it can be mounted on sliders, jibs, monopods, and other support gear.

K6 Fluid Head Details
Drop-in quick release design allows the camera to quickly click into the head from above. Simply press the safety button to release the plate from the fluid head.
It also provides a 1/4" thread socket on the side of the head to attach a magic arm for some devices such as video lights, microphones, or monitors.
The video fluid head features 360 degree horizontally and -70 to 90 degree vertically, providing a wide range of shooting angles.
A built-in Allen wrench is designed for easy assembly of quick release plate.

I bought this to sit on a c stand for a home office setup. It works well as it allows for a quick release plate, friction arm mounting via the rosette mounts, smooth motion, and well balanced.

I have an old tripod that wouldn't pan or tilt smoothly. Adding the Cayer K6 Fluid Head made the tripod a lot more usable. My only complaint is that the threaded sleeve that connects the arm to its handle comes lose very easily, and it's fallen off even when I haven't used it. I might just duct tape that part.I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a better tripod head but can't afford one of the high-end models.

Update: have I had a problem and the seller sent me out a new tripod head. I was so happy. But this head also has a problem with the receiver plate. After the second time, I figure I had to leave a neutral review.I had this tripod head for about a year, and one of the levers broke which rendered the head useless. I rode into the seller and asked them if they can help me out. They responded quickly and told me that they would send me a replacement and that they stood by their products, I’m happy to say that they replaced it for me so that I could get right back to work. Great customer service. I will continue to buy from Cayer.

Needed sturdy tripod head for large binoculars. My previous tripod head would not handle the weight and tended to move out of position. Problem solved with the Cayer K6.

Prodotto amatoriale, peso importante e sensazione di solidità impressionante. Montato per prova su un manfrotto befree, quindi un treppiede portatile, si è adattato perfettamente senza creare scompensi , ben bilanciato. Strategica la scelta di inserire la chiave a brugola direttamente in un vano apposito della testa video. Splendida la frizione per i movimenti in verticali (TILT), mentre, per i movimenti orizzontali, destra-sinistra (PAN) l'ho trovata un poco dura, anche se non ho notato impuntamenti o indecisioni nella manovra. Comoda e funzionale la leva del comando estensibile. La portata di sicurezza dichiarata è di ben 8 kg., il che lo pone ad un buon livello operativo, ovviamente amatoriale e non professionale, ma il prezzo è più che adeguato. Mi riservo una prova più accurata sul campo, per ora devo dire che il prodotto è più che soddisfacente, con un prezzo, grazie anche ad una scontistica amazon, molto concorrenziale.

Buena calidad para el precio, muy robusta. Una pena que no tenga ajuste para las tensiones y fricción, tanto del Pan cómo el Tilt. Pero para el precio es una cabeza muy buena, no le tiene nada que envidiarle a otras cabezas el doble de caras, siempre y cuando no te importe lo de las fricciones...Utiliza estafas de tamaño estándar. Yo la he podido utilizar con estafa de TrÃpodes Satchler y SmallRig, y sin problemas. No he probado con estafas de marcas de estabilizadores, pero seguramente sean compatibles.

Ich verwende den Fluidkopf überwiegend zur Ausrichtung meines Fernglases für längere Beobachtungen, aber auch für meine DSLR mit Teleobjektiv. Das funktioniert ausgezeichnet. Der Kopf ist stabil, gut handhabbar und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ganz hervorragend.
