this dew shield fits my Celestron 9.25 SCT well, competitive price , fast delivery , a must have accessoryfor what it will do for your scope , cut down the formation of dew, cuts out stray light entering your tube, it "makes you telescope look bigger than it is" and it makes using your telescope that much more enjoyable.

If you're worried about dew, why mess around with this? Just get a dew heater. If you need some better darkness, so to speak, around the aperture (e.g., for photography), it helps. But if you have any significant dew and you're worried about condensation on your lens, go with the heated route (Astrozap strip, or a ring from Celestron, using the Astrozap controller). Came packaged flat out, very large box (but thin), seems like a huge waste of cardboard when it could have been rolled up, which it's going to be anyway when storing or transporting it at home.

I purchased this for a Celestron 11" SCT. It is very high quality and has the added flexibility to fit the smaller 9.25" optical tube as well. The Velcro fastener is very good compared to some other shields. The fit and finish are outstanding. Highly recommended and a great price!

If you have street lights or other lighting in the area this is a must to reduce the light pollution on the image.

Maybe it’s just mine since it has a ripple crease in it, but I can’t seem to get it to maintain a circular shape when on the OTA so it partially blocks the corrector plate. I’ll be sending back and either getting a direct replacement (others don’t seem to report this issue) or looking for a metal dew shield.

Although this product doesn't completely diminish the formation of dew on the front glass of my SCT scope it does slow down the process quite a lot. I can usually get 2-3 hours without any dew formation on my telescope when the dew point is high. Worth buying if you have a 9.25 to 11inch SCT telescope.

If you have a C series scope, dew is a concern. The concern increases along with the size of the glass. Celestron has 2 options. The least expensive option is the hood that attaches via velcro and is made of plastic and vinyl. The other choice is a metal hood and has built in ports to accommodate Celetron's powered dew heater (sold separately). Both are good choices, They both work well, the deciding factor is of course always price vs convenience vs budget. If you travel with your Scope, the basic hood can be folded flat when removed and is lighter. The Metal hood can be removed but takes up more space and is heavier if that matters. I have both. when I am home the metal version stays on my C9. if I travel to site, it stays at home.

This inexpensive Dew Shield from Celestron is extremely well-made. Not only is the it durable, but it’s thick and weather resistant. I use it on every session with my 11†Celestron SCT. The cut-out fits perfectly around the bottom dovetail and the heavy-duty Velcro keeps a nice tight fit. Highly recommended if you can’t afford Celestron’s aluminum Dew Shield.

Been having some significant issues with dew each summer, this product completely kept my 9.25 Dee free the entire viewing time as compared to completely covered in dew without it. Works fantastic!

It could use additional velcro materials to attach directly on the telescope tube and the interior of the Dew Shield
