Earlier this year when cherries were in season, I made a batch of Brandied Cherries for cocktails. I used a hard plastic straw to push the pits out. What a pain in the butt! The cherry pitter makes it a breeze. Low price point, so it’s worth it even though I will only use it a couple of times a year.

It pits the cherry but also cores it and juice runs all over. It’s a bit hard to press.
Give It a HELPFUL Please!

Great product better with larger Cherries, it smashes the smaller ones

This works extremely well at pitting cherries. I Even tried it on grapes an it still got some seed out but not as well as the cherries because the seeds are smaller. This is very easy on my hands as it is a very light and smooth action. I used to use a metal straw do remove the seeds from cherries and my hands would be very dirty. Needless to say it would be very messy. This has minimal mess. Just put the cherry in place. The part of the cherry stem should be on top where the metal rod pushes down. Then apply a little pressure and the seed pushes out. There is a pull tab that also keeps the unit closed for a more space saving storage. Here is my Pro/Con listProsEasy/smooth actionVery little messPull tap to keep closed for space saving storageConsNone
