The weather forecast is based on changes in barometric pressure, indicating improving weather with an increase in pressure and adverse conditions with a decrease. This estimate covers 24 to 48 hours and varies by location. The manually set barometer needle serves as a tool for observing changes, recommended for daily readings during unstable weather. With a mahogany cherry red color and a classic finish, the station adapts to offices, studios, vintage spaces or antique environments. Before barometer readings, gently tapping the glass near the central brass knob overcomes friction. This gesture suggested by the Coast Guard compensates for intentional rigidity, valuable for weather forecasting. Aneroid barometers have a small screw for sea level calibration. Turning it adjusts the needle to get the correct pressure reading. Special notes: The barometer works up to 3000 feet, not recommended for higher altitudes. Designed exclusively for indoor use. If you are looking for this to be just a decorative item, it’s okay. But if you are knowledgeable enough about weather and the instrumentation and accuracy of information, this isn’t it.The layout on the dials is weirdly confusing and even when you finally decipher it somewhat, it still isn’t accurate ( which may mean the designer intended it to be confusing and weird in the first place).I always enjoyed studying weather so I am a bit of a weather enthusiast , but not a professional at all. I know enough to know this isn’t worth even a couple of bucks though.Sorry

One day cold , one day warm wind blowing like crazy, didn't know what to think.. Well no more of that with this weather station you will know , just check your barometer and you will know what is on the way. Very well made price is great, and it looks great on my wall.

I rarely have time to Ck the weather most days;so glancing over my weather station in the Morning, while busily preparing for work is very convenient. I can trust it. Later I’ve checked the forecast, and found my weather station to be spot on.This classic piece, is beautiful! The wood is polished up to a high gloss and displays the readings in both English and Metric. It does not require a power supply so it’s ready to hang right out of the box.The look is very elegant.
