The first UNNI I purchased was a perfectly functional, easy-to-read, and view weather station at a reasonable price. I love the variable light levels of this model. The light is only available when you plug it into a 5V block using the supplied cable. Otherwise, it can operate only on batteries, but not the light. So, I bought another to put in my bedroom. Then, I bought another to put in my shop, which is located in a separate unheated building, so I can monitor the temperature when I turn on its heater. Then I read the directions! I didn't know that there are three separate channels available on each receiver. Now that I have three separate transmitters, I can read a different temperature range simply by pressing the channel selector on the back of any receiving unit to read any of the 3 locations. Other weather stations of the same manufacturer have only one channel, so all receivers read only that one channel.

I like this is a an easy to read no frills unit. Fits nicely in our kitchen and the wireless remote works well. Have yet to change the battery in the outdoor sending unit meaning it lasts a long time. I also like that the unit's display is back lit which make's for easy viewing in a low lit room. The display is a nice size for viewing from a distance without be overly large. Accurate enough for me matches our mercury outdoor thermometer anyway.

Put it in our camper just for fun. Good display quality and color. Seems to be very accurate and pretty stout (fell off wall twice before got stronger 2 sided tape). Love the humidity gauges for inside and outside. The lower brightness great for leaving on in camper and not being overly bright. Can turn off display if any body complains.

The headline already mentions what was liked most about the unni weather station. But it goes deeper into programming your settings to the way you want them to be. We just got this and had it working in minutes due to finding a USB port to plug it into so the screen would always be lit.

I bought this for my dad. In the end we ended up having to return it, but that was because we just couldn’t find a spot to put the transmitter outside that would be protected. He is in an assisted living place and they don’t have their own private outdoor area. We did set it up and it seemed to work perfectly. The screen was very clear although it was a lot smaller than I had anticipated from the listing. It would really have been OK. I like that you can plug it in or run it on batteries. It had all the necessary information that he is looking for.

Powered from a USB port. Numbers are large and easy to read. About 3 1/2 x 5 inches. Sits quietly on the desk. I'm delighted with it.

This is nice little thermometer. Easy to setup BUT it does not stay light up if you dont plug it in. We have always had out thermostat in the same place and it is conveninet there. I wish I had know this doesnt stay lighted if you use a battery. This is pretty annoying and will probalby return in for that reason alone. Also note that it takes a very long time to sync and read the actual temperature, several hours not minutes.

Great price and excellent display. I like the option of battery only option (back light only when needed) as opposed to having to have it powered by the USB full time.Temperature readings appear to be very accurate.

The unit truly works well with many feature.Great looking unit better than the photographs.I have had a simpler unit before this one and I see the advanced features in the small package.Instructions to change settings need improvement. But you do get it setup you have a battery backup so you won’t lose your settings due to a power failure.I recommend this unit for home use

We just moved into our new home, and we were setting up the basement as a family room. I wanted to know what the temperature was down there, and also in the garage. This little unit fills the bill perfectly. It has a very attractive colour display--but you'll need to keep it plugged into a power source via the supplied USB cable if you want the display on continuously. The unit itself takes three AAA batteries, while the external sensor is powered by two AA batteries. The remote sensor immediately synced with the control unit. If you don't keep the unit plugged in, you'll need to use batteries and touch a button on the back to light up the display. The display gives you outdoor temperature and humidity at the top, a weather icon in the middle that shows you if the weather is going to be sunny or rainy, an atmospheric pressure display graduated in millibars, and at the bottom is indoor temperature and humidity. Everything seems to be accurate. The unit sits on my writing desk downstairs and is very pleasant--and informative--to look at. You can have the control unit sitting on a desk or table or you can hang it on the wall. It's just the right size for a desk. Today, however, the unit lost sync with the remote sensor, and would not re-sync until I removed the power cord and batteries from the control unit and then put them back. I will update this review if the problem recurs. I dropped one star because of this problem.

If you are looking for a simple, easy to read, weather station...this is it. It is back lit, with a dim or dark function, seems accurate and was just what I was looking for. I have it in the bedroom and appreciate the fact that I can turn the back light off for sleeping.

This little weather station is well designed, has all the functions of a more expensive weather station but at a very reasonable price. I have a LaCross weather station where the outdoor sensor stopped working and the replacement sensor would be $54. Duh. This little sweetheart does all the same things for $29. I like that the indoor component can plug in, or use batteries and that the batteries for the outdoor are 2A rather than 3A.
