Although you can find 15"/16" on the box, it's too large for a 15" viola. Maybe you can use on a 15.5" viola.

I was about to return this shoulder rest before it was shipped, since it was inexpensive why bother my trash can can use another shoulder rest. It turns out that this shoulder rest is the best rest. I play a 16 3/8 viola and finally have the comfort I deserve. I think the manufacturer did a good job, but with some small improvements could be made to make a great shoulder rest, and priced double the current asking price. It's not about price, its about getting it right.Thank YouShanghai China.P.S. I just purchased one for my violin......
