I own several items made by American Benchcraft and they are all great. This sheath is for my box cutter for work.I like that it has a belt loop so that it doesn't pop off my belt during the day.Over time the leather softens and darkens slightly.

Upon receiving the item I dunked it in a bucket of water and then applied leather oil to it. Wearing it daily for the last month and holding up fine.

Thick leathery material is doing well with my spud wrench. Took a couple weeks for it to conform to the shape of the wrench but it holds it in well. But not so well that if I jump up or get out of a chair or seat my wrench will take a dive. Overall I’m happy with it.

I bought this pliers holder specifically for my long-nose pliers. The fit was good for my Lowes / Kobalt brand 8-inch long-nose pliers, diagonal cutting pliers, and lineman's pliers. As for "better than expected", the product came with a cardboard tag that was dated 2017. I expected a very stiff and hard leather that I would have to work in with some oil. To my surprise, the pliers holder was just right to use right after removing the packaging (two stapes and cardboard). Because it is an open bottom, I expect to have no problems in using other needle nose pliers, even long-reach ones.

I've been using it for about two months and does its job but it is of a distinctly lower quality than my Occidental Leather hammer holster and my AP Saddlery Tape measure holder, though it did cost a lot less.It is saddle stitched with a thick thread and riveted in each corner. The container part of this thing isn't going anywhere. I've had no trouble with the belt loop so far but I imagine if the holster failed, that's where it would be. The leather seems to be decent quality but it either needs something more rigid or a different design. My main complaint with this holster is that when I go to pull my blade out, the whole thing flaps up, hinging at the top of the container. This makes one handed operation difficult, at least in my situation. I'm thinking of adding some kind of reinforcement to keep it rigid. From top to bottom it measures 8 inches and 2 and 3/4 inches at the widest point (which is at the belt loop). The belt loop slits are 2 inches wide and there are three holes around that area which I'm not sure the point of. The length of the container measures 3 and 13/16ths inches. Its usable width is something like 1 and 1/2 inches at the top and an inch at the bottom. The bottom is open ended so long skinny things can fit further. The depth is something like 3/4 of an inch at the top and 7/16ths of an inch at the bottom. Being leather, all of these measurements can stretch to some degree. It fits my OLFA 5003 L-1 perfectly.Overall it's OK. It's got issues but it performs the task its intended for and it will probably last for a long time.

I love mine, I have 2 on my belt. they fit the use I had in mind perfectly. I'm a press operator and carry scissors on my belt instead on a box knife for all my cutting needs.
