This collar really helped my geriatric 18lb long hair chihuahua by preventing him from rubbing his eye with his paw. It’s comfortable and fits snugly but not too tight. I’ve never had to use the tightening cord. The best feature is that he can lay his head down comfortably and sleep, use the restroom without issue and drink water without it getting wet. I feel good about popping it on his head when I go out to work because it isn’t a giant, cold plastic cone. I used this post an eye surgery for long term care because he will always be able to injure the eye again now that he is very old. This collar prevents this with comfort which is key. It seems he cannot lick his groin or any of his paws in case those are areas you are trying to protect.

My cat is about 8.5 pounds and I got a small.I was skeptical. I admit it. But my cat, Jaws, needed surgery to remove a lump on her chest. I needed something to keep her from messing with her stitches. I bought this and a surgical onesie. I asked the vet to put both on her while she was still at their office. They did and I thought all was good.We got home and she had a bad reaction to the pain meds. Think extremely bad trip. In her panic she was able to slip out of the onesie but this collar stayed on. It’s so much more effective than the old, hard cone of shame! We are 11 days post surgery. The collar has stayed on. My cat has adapted to wearing it quite comfortably. She can eat, drink, clean her back legs and butt, but not get to her stitches. Bonus she’s an absolutely adorable space flower! We returned to the vet today and her stitches were removed. Her incision is healing well, thanks to this collar. We are keeping it on one more day since the vet advised her incision is probably very itchy post suture removal.I cannot imagine her recovery going so well without this cute little collar. Best of all, her lump was not mammary cancer, as we feared, but a mast cell tumor that is less likely to return. Margins were wide and clear and no additional treatment is needed, so hopefully I don’t need to use this collar again, but I know it will be effective if I need it.If you’re on the fence about this, just do it. I truly believe it made my cats recovery so much easier than it would have been with a hard cone or nothing at all.Update: about a week after getting her stitches removed, my cat was licking her incision to the point it became red and inflamed. Back to the collar! Surprisingly, she didn’t freak out when I put it back on her and has been wearing it for about 3 days now. Her incision is back on track to healing well. And she’s an adorable space flower for a little longer. If I could give this collar a million stars, I would. It continues to be a great product. (Bonus photo added of my space flower photoshopped in space! The photoshop possibilities are endless!)

I bought a Large for Stormys 11.5 in neck and it fits snug. He has short legs but he can still walk with this on. He is able to sleep with this on and drink water. He constantly licks his paws and I need to put medicine on them and it's the perfect solution to keep him from licking without the guilt bc it's comfortable for him. Highly recommend.

I got this for my cat after he had bladder/urinary tract surgery. It kept him from accessing his incision site and was much quieter (not running into things) and more comfortable than the plastic cone he had before. He was able to eat and drink while keeping the cone on which he couldn't do before. My only regret is not purchasing it sooner! I gave 4 stars because there is no way to secure the E-collar to a regular collar. I ended up sewing one in so that our determined cat couldn't slip it off. Survived the washer and dryer.

My mini schnauzer recently had emergency abdominal surgery to remove a hazelnut she found and swallowed..she came home from the vet wearing the obligatory heavy plastic cone of shame. We were told she had to wear it for 2 weeks. Within 2 days the torture device was rubbing her little neck raw and she was miserable...so i purchased this soft comfy collar and delivery was fast...the collar is easy to put on, it fit her very well, and it stopped any chewing or licking as she healed. Im happy i found this soft collar, it served the purpose of protecting her very well, she could eat, drink, sleep and go outside with it on (i never told her it was meant for a cat)...when she was healed, i washed it in the machine, layed it on a towel to dry and put it away. Hopefully none of our 3 small dogs (less than 20 lbs.) will need it again but it is very sturdy so it can be reused.

Glad I found this collar because the plastic one she was sent home with post spay was too heavy, and I’d seen others on here that were thicker but this one worked best since it’s light and she’s only 6-7lbs. She was able to kick it off the first two nights but she then got used to it and has been wearing it comfortably. She’s able to clean herself enough and is able to use her litter box, eat, drink etc, this just blocks the incision, and it’s water proof for the most part. Totally recommend this. I did choose the small even though she’s a little over 6 pounds. It would probably fit an adult cat too bc of the size of the opening for their head, but this one fit her best :)

My kitty got spayed recently. This soft cone stays in place , my cat tried to pull it off and she wasn't able too. The cone is like a soft pillow around her head, so she can lay down and rest her head on it comfortably. She can also drink and eat easily. This is 10000 times better than a traditional cone.

Our mini Dauchunds had a bit of surgery (neuter) and was sent home with a plastic cone. He wasn’t impressed. This collar worked well to prevent our boy from getting to his incision. He didn’t seem to mind having it on. And it actually seemed to be a little pillow when he laid down. The neck part is stretchy stockinette fabric so is not irritating. It’s also a great design that isn’t too rigid and restrictive.

Op basis van de foto's dacht ik dat de kraag veel minder wijd zou zijn. Mijn kat weegt 3 kilo, ik heb maat M genomen en de kraag was bij haar enorm. Ik zoek verder naar een betere oplossing.

We’ve gone from a stressed cat in a horrible cone to a comfortable cat now he’s got this soft cone. It works so well, stays on and gives the cat more movement to be able to eat, drink and move well! Definitely buy this product it’s amazing and I feel so much better knowing my cat isn’t freaked out by the horrible cone.

My 6 month old cat had his neuter operation and was wearing the vet’s plastic cone for a few days. I got this for him instead and he loves it! Very comfortable and prevents him from licking the incision. Cute design and good quality. I purchased a size S.
