Best "cone" EVER! My poor cat had chewed her skin raw at the base of her tail and the plastic cone we had was torture for her! I found this one on Amazon and she had no problems with it at all! It's soft and puffy and flexible! She could move and eat and sleep without being frustrated, and her recovery time was very quick since she couldn't reach her raw skin! Excellent value for the money! I'll never be without one!

My little kitty had to have surgery and was fitted with a cone to prevent her from licking the incision and pulling out the stitches. Our kitty was miserable, unable to walk around and get into her usual spaces, unable to eat from her bowls. You could tell she was unhappy. I had heard about this kind of collar and was prepared to pay anything to get it delivered and put it on our cat. Next day delivery before 9:00pm was my best option on Amazon, so I took it. Putting the soft collar on my kitty was a game changer. As she took her first steps with the soft collar her whole demeanor changed for the positive! She is a happy cat and quite used to the soft collar. Kitty is also unable to lick her scar with the collar on, which is what she needs for full recovery. The vet said we needed t keep her from doing so for 10-14 days. It would have been awful had we done so with the original plastic cone. Kitty is healing up nicely and the collar will come off in a couple of days. If you know your kitty is going to have surgery, get this soft collar before the procedure so you can use it on your cat right away.

Our cat got neutered and needed something to keep him from bothering the area. Our vet recommended this product specifically. I was worried our cat wouldn't like it but he curled up and took a nap, using this collar as a pillow. He looked like a beautiful little flower!

Got this for my mil, for her cat.It's soft, cute, easy to put on.But her cat got it off w ab 5 good kicks.She tightened it, he did the same thing .After that she was worried ab getting it too tight and constricting his airway.It may be fine on many cats, but this is a street cat, and he wasn't having any of it!So,not a good solution for my mil cat, but may work for you.

This allowed my tiny 5lb chihuahua sleep and eat without a problem when the cone did not. It was easy to use - just slip over his head and tighten the laces behind his head. Since he is so small, there was quite a bit of extra lace left over, but I just doubled it over so that he could not reach it - you can see a part of it hanging down in the first picture. The color is actually bright orange as in the first picture - I was happy with it. It washed up beautifully and if we need it again, it is in storage - it stores fairly flat like a tiny pillow. The veterinarian was impressed with it - she laughingly called him a little sunflower and insisted on taking a picture.

This is cute and comfortable and probably works on more cooperative cats. The collar is elastic and mine figured out he could pull on it and get his head out that way. I was looking for an alternative to the dreaded hard plastic cone for longer healing times, but I use this one more for short-term issues, like when he can’t lick off topical meds for a few minutes.

I recommend as an alternative for the Elizabethan collars. I have three different ones like this now for two of my cats who had surgery. They seemed way more relaxed and it made the recovery period so much easier, for all of us. One of my cats tried really hard to pull it off her head at first and didn’t manage (and never tried again), and the one in photo never even bothered trying, he was perfectly comfortable like that. It made it easier for him to eat, acted as a pillow when he slept, and didn’t cause issues when he tried to drink water (expect it to get a bit wet, but nothing that paper towels won’t soak up). Can spot clean if needed. My other cat had to wear it for a couple of weeks, I bought a second one for her in order to wash the first one, as it was a possibility that she was going to need it longer than the two weeks.

I was unable to keep this collar on my kitten after her spaying surgery. The only time she kept it on was when she was still sleepy from the pain meds & anesthesia. I put just one finger underneath the tightening string & tied a knot in the string behind the little plastic doohickey that is supposed to keep the string tight. My kitten got it off every time!Also, this thing is so wide she had trouble drinking water. She knocked her water bowl over with it several times. Might be okay for a grown cat that is not as rambunctious as a kitten but, did not work for my purposes.

My kittens actually seemed to enjoy wearing them! Really easy to get on and the adjustable toggle means they fit perfectly and aren't restrictive for accessing food and water. They seem to act as a permanent neck pillow - had them on for 8 days so far and they've worked great.Washable too which is a big plus.

It's a decent product. My male cat had a little wound on the side of his face he kept scratching open, but with this collar it prevented him from reaching with his paws. He absolutely despised it at first and it scared him. He even managed to tug it off, but with the strings I easily tightened it as much as needed, and it stayed in place. Eventually he became comfortable with it and even started using it as a little pillow for his head when asleep.However, the quality of the product itself is quite meager. The fabric breaks easily from my cat's claws, even with his blunt clipped claws. Also, furs sticks easily onto it.That being said, I recommend it if your cat requires it. It is a much better alternative than the dreadful, uncomfortable cone of shame.

This is the second one i have purchased, I didn’t think I needed it again so discarded the first one. Bought for one of my cats, this is easy to fit over the head, it can tighten up but wasn’t needed, it is less distressing on the cat, still able to go in and out of the cat flap, able to access food and water freely instead of trying to juggle a cone to get to the food. Prevents grooming to certain areas whilst still comfortable and cat is not backing up barging into things that they do with the plastic cone of shame. Affordable, easy to clean and very effective. Does the job and no distress to the cat, easy to sleep in and very happy cat within reason that they look like sunflower

I’ve bought this collar for our cat to use after feeding time, because she has an allergy and always “washes herself†extremely after her special food and medicines. She doesn’t need it for the whole day. The collar is easy to put on, easy to adjust, washable very soft and comfortable fabric and it also looks very cute.I can imagine it is also very useable after surgery and more comfortable than the plastic vet one.
