Does the job . Is much softer indeed , but ... I highly recommend getting a onesie from the get-go. They're called recovery onesies not only does it. Stop them from licking the wound. It covers all areas except for where they need to poop and pee. It leaves them able to sleep comfortably and eat comfortably much more than the plastic hard cone of shame. This one however, I ordered for a more softer less hard plastic cone of shame as I said, and it was just that except he was still left without being able to eat and kept going to the bathroom and getting all kinds of stuff plus cat litter all over him and his incision. So order a recovery onesie.

My cat loved this cone. He waddled when he walked with it, which was hilarious, but he could eat, drink, and sleep comfortably. It is not waterproof, so it will need to be washed to keep it fresh and clean.

Our boy has a hot spot on his neck that he won’t leave alone to heal, scratching and picking at it until it bleeds so we opted for a cone. Given that he manages to remove any collar we give him and slips out of any kind of pet clothing, we were skeptical about this soft shelled flexible collar. We didn’t want to get him those soft pillowy flower/orange cones because it looked heavy, wouldn’t prevent him from scratching at his face, and looked like it would prevent him from entering the litter robot/enclosed litter box. But the plastic cones you get from the vet get so dirty since they pick up all the food and look so uncomfortable that my cat struggles to jump/play. This was a good alternative that’s more comfortable and functional since you can fold it back during meal time. Paired with the Vetericyn wound care spray, this was a surprisingly effective combo. He’s definitely not happy about it, but it does its job.

I ordered this for my senior girl. She got acne bad under her chin and was using the desks and everything she could find to rub against her chin to scratch it. It kept making her worse and she couldn't heal. I needed something long enough to prevent her from doing this. She didn't love it at all obviously, but I think it was nice and comfortable for her and it can easily be washed. It folds back nicely so she could eat too but it is just cloth so if you need something that won't bend then this may not work for you. She did occasionally rub against it and bleed so we had both this kind and a semi soft plastic kind as well.

Softer than those plastic things, but the Velcro doesn't allow you to fold the entire cone back for eating and drinking. Also comes loose sometimes.

Decent quality. Great price. Stayed on my cat longer than I thought it would. Definitely would get again

This collar is great. I love the fact that you can move the piece to the size that is appropriate for your animal. It’s got really soft cloth and it does what it’s meant to do. The only drawback is it is a little heavy for smaller animals.

This was much smaller than the seller declared. I ordered the same size with ones at my cats Vet that fit. I even remeasured her neck as those were not fabric of this nature. This was nowhere near the size they stated. I now have a cute lil unusable cat cone 🤔
