So I have found zero use for the larger unit, but I have used the 5" guide a ton. It locks fine and I have no problem getting the unit to hug the angles I need easily. I am a hack, so if I can get them to be useful and assist me with only looking moderately stupid, a more talented person should be able to use these very effectively. It is worth it, and I guess the 10" unit falls into the cliché' of it is better to have and not need than to need and not have. I fully recommend them.

I haven't had to use it for a project yet but I've been looking for a tool like this for years. I tried it out on a couple complicated contours and it replicated it perfectly

For the most part these worked just okay, I'm sure a less expensive pair would have worked just as well or maybe better.
